Native Access 2 Does Not Work

Greetings, full disclosure that I am incredibly frustrated right now. I paid to upgrade to Kontakt 8 and learned I needed to download Native Access 2 in the process. Did so, installed it, and no matter what I have done, it won't open at all. I've tried running as administrator, nothing. I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, nothing. I've tried restarting the computer, nothing. I've updated / repaired my visual redistributable C++ things - nothing. My graphics card drivers are fully up to date, so I know there is no issue there.
I then uninstalled Native Access 2, reinstalled the older version of Native Access and that still works, although it does not display Kontakt 8 as available even after I input my serial number. So that isn't a solution, all it tells me is that Native Access 2 is borked.
Someone please, please help. I have no earthly idea how to fix this.

"Full disclosure" - then it is impossible to assist someone who thinks that they already done it all and that there is nothing wrong with their setup and on top of that gives as good as no information about the problem including OS or errors other than doesn't start.
I needed to download Native Access 2 in the process. Did so, installed it,
'Once upon a time' when Native Access 2 were version 2 more than by name then Native Access 2 did have some serious problem on Windows. But by now then Native Access 2 is just a name and it is at the moment version 3.17.0 . Generally then by now then Native Access 2 (3.x.x) functions rather well in general. There is still the off problem in between for some users that needs fixing. But for Windows users then generally then these problems are mostly due to damaged system or dependency files or user access or account problems.
How hard it is to fix the problem of course is impossible to say upfront. But since you think that you have done it all and that nothing is wrong with your setup then the best thing for you probably would be to contact N.I. Native Access and Installation Support , but you should expect Support to think that your setup has a problem that needs rectifying.
In case that you need guidance contacting support : Please read : how to get support !
If you want us in the forum to try to assist then all we can do is to advice as best we can.
If you want to try to solve the problem then you need to work methodically
You need to be logged in to have full administrative privileges on the Windows
You will want to make sure that Windows (?) is fully updated.
You will want to make sure that you have no damaged system files : Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files
And you will want to make sure that the Native Access app has full access to install : Allow an app to access controlled folders and you have un-blocked third-party app installations in Windows 11/10 (for how to unblock)
Then also make sure that this folder exists : C:\Users\Public\Documents
Else then :
first uninstall both the Native Access and the NTKDaemon, then use the reg tool to remove any remnants of both of them. Ref. : Fixing Software Update Installation Issues (Windows)
Then reboot
Then download latest version of Native Access for your OS , turn off you AV temporarily , and run N.A. installer as an Admin. Also run Native Access as Admin when starting it.
Then tell us if that helps , if there is a problem then please check that you have the NTKDaemonService running .

I realized after posting I should have added specs. I'm on Windows 11 pro [build 26100.3476], supposedly the newest version [I checked for updates and windows says I am fully up to date]. My processor is a 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900K 3.00 GHz, with 32 GB of RAM and an RTX 4060 for graphics.
Unfortunately, I have done everything else you mentioned. I ran the System File Checker tool - no issues there. The folder you mentioned exists. I've granted Native Access full access to controlled folders and 3rd party apps are allowed. Regardless, whenever I click Native Access, it doesnt even launch. Nothing happens.

Thank you for the info ,
Did you run N.A. 2 as an Admin and did you check that you have the NTKDaemonService running ? (imperative)
TaskManager tab , services :

I have tried to run NA 2 as an Admin and still it does not open - no NTKDaemonService or any other Native Instruments associated things show up in my services or background processes.

Provided that you have done the above and installed the newest version of N.A. :
Then try running this installer as an Admin , then reboot and check if that helped

No change in my launch issue unfortunately. NTKDaemon is now running in services and background processes, but still no luck opening NA 2.

Well , at least then we know now that you are not getting N.A. 2 installed correctly when running the standard installer. Either you have an access issue with the 'user' or you are having some incompatible software running or there is a problem with a system or dependency file.
I could keep suggesting things but it is all taking your time , I mean I am OK with giving further suggestions to try to ascertain what is the exact problem but the only route is to try different suggestions , so I don't know , maybe you would rather wait for support to get back to you ?

If you are interested then I am willing to give you a link to a zipped N.A: directory to test in conjunction with the NTKDaemon installer already given ? (I am not sure it will work but you could try see if the failed install can be mended using an unzipped directory ?)

First off, thank you very much for taking the time to try to help! I'm determined to try to get it working, so any other ideas are welcome. I've opened a ticket with NI's support as well however, hopefully they can provide something effective.

Please bear in mind that it's the weekend, so you probably won't hear from support until Monday…

You are very welcome .
Apart from what suggested per PM then you can try to run Windows in diagnostic boot with only needed M.S. files loaded and then try installing Native Access as an Admin (after having removed N.A. and NTKDaemon again) . Running Windows in diagnostic boot with only needed M.S. files loaded is meant to help in case that the problem is other third party programs intervening.
You can also try this (this is meant to try to mend some types of access problems) :
First uninstall both the Native Access and the NTKDaemon, then use the reg tool to remove any remnants of both of them. Ref. : Fixing Software Update Installation Issues (Windows)
Then download latest version of Native Access for your OS but do not install it yet.
Then reboot computer
Then after a fresh reboot then enable build in admin account and check if that helps.
First you’ll need to open a command prompt in administrator mode by right-clicking and choosing “Run as administrator”.
Now type the following command:
net user administrator /active:yes
Then try installing the already downloaded latest version of Native Access for your OS as an Admin

I have tried this method… and the files you sent in the PM… still no success opening the program.
I ran DISM again to see if there was anything, and it said there were no integrity issues as well. Tried repairing my VC_Redist.x64 and .x86 as well, still nothing.

Sorry to learn that it did not help. Then let's hope that supports tool can find the issue.
