No NI instruments can be loaded in machine 3 (Mac Sequoia) - as of 26.3.2025

In machine 2 it works perfectly - what is the reason? is there an update for mac Sequioa?

@Johannes You still didn't reply to one important question. Are you trying to load projects that were made on an Intel MAc, yes or no? Do you have any issues when creating a brand new project (not in Rosetta mode).

I see for example this Kontakt with no version number. That is Kontakt 6, Kontakt 6 was discontinued before Apple Silicon existed, so it will always require Rosetta.

For other not NI plug-ins you can't open, that might be the same. Please check with the plugin manufacturer if they are natively supported or if they require Rosetta. If they do then yes you'll need to use Rosetta mode.

Have you done the Mac users must do when using N.I. apps ? :

ALL NI apps including NTKDaemon must have full disk access. : Howto Enable Full Disk Access on macOS

and disks must be of correct format : Notes on Network Drives and Disk Formats

And quote Kymeia : if using Sequoia then N.I. apps must be added to the Local Network

Also then do not use Clean My Mac.

@Johannes What version of Maschine 3 are you using? Maschine 3.1.1 was released a few days ago.

I found it out - (someone told me) you have to:

    Open Finder

    Go to Apps

    Right Klick - Info

mark the "Open with Rosetta" - Button

    then open Maschine again!

No you don’t need to open in Rosetta mode, all current NI apps are Apple Silicon native (unless you are trying to load outdated versions? If Rosetta mode “fixes” it that suggests maybe you are)

@Johannes Are you trying to open old projects made on an Intel Mac, in this case only you need to run Maschine 3 in Rosetta mode.

If you open Maschine 3.1.1 with a blank project in native mode (aka not Rosetta), and load instruments, is it working as expected?

Also make sure to give full disk access to Maschine 3: How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS

I´ve done all these things, the only solution by now is the rosetta mode!

I have the latest updates of native access and all instruments.

    Thank you!

If Rosetta mode is what ‘fixes’ it then you must be trying to load older Intel versions, otherwise Rosetta would not make a difference.

Do you have VST3 versions of the NI plugins installed?

    i´ve got a mac mini m2pro, mac-sequoia - latest version and updatet all NI-plugins.

What do you mean by "VST3 Versions"?

Is there a possibility to see the version?

I mean the VST3 plugins of these products - if you are still using VST2 then that explains everything as these will be outdated Intel based versions

Check the version numbers in the plugin about boxes

Please show me where i can find the version numbers - where can i see them in Native Access? And what can i do to update them (if necessary) to VST3. Thanks

In the 'about' screens in each plugin eg

Native Access should install the VST3 by default but you said you deleted some so just reinstalling should be enough - if it's also third party plugins you may need to select to install VST3 in the installer customise options but these days it's usually the default format

That´s exactly the same what i have.

    I only youse NI-plugins.

I´ve tried it again, but i can only load NI-Instruments in Rosetta mode.

My computer: Mac mini (2024), M2pro chip, 32 GB Ram, 1TB Drive. Mac Sequoia - latest version.

In Rosetta mode everything works fine. Whithout it, instruments can´t be loaded.

    Thank you for your response!

I suspect you have an older VST2 version of Kontakt, and maybe others, what does the about screen for that say? (the plugin loaded in KK not the standalone)

Do you have ‘use latest versions’ checked in KK settings?
