Controlling Maschine Mk3 with an external hardware sequencer

Hi,

I have a Beatstep Pro connected to my Maschine MK3 midi in, with a set of samples, one per Maschine pad. At the moment all I can get it to do is play back/ sequence one sample from currently selected Maschine pad, where I would like the Beastep Pro to sequence different samples on different pads. Both Maschine and the Beatstep are set to midi channel 1.

Is there a way to address every Maschine pad from an external sequencer?

go to the group midi input , there’s a mode called drumkit , that should set the pads to receive midi note c2 and above for pad 1-16 ,

If you can’t set the beat step pads to transmit from c2 , then try the manual mode that should let you set the start note

Do it opposite and that's it.

It's a solution for controlling more devices from the M+ then using M+ as something much more than just Sync Play.
