All NI apps and plugins are locking up for me whether running standalone or in a DAW.

This morning I had both Maschine and Cakewalk Sonar running, along with too many other apps causing some issues with memory thrashing. After closing things down and rebooting I can no longer get anything from NI to load.

Most standalone apps (Absynth, FM8, Guitar Rig 6, Maschine 3) fail to even show the splash screen. (Guitar Rig 5 worked okay though)

Kontakt 7 and Battery 4 will load but are unresponsive with a waiting cursor.

Sonar projects using any of these give a message saying the 'other program' is busy: switch to or retry. I also tried a new empty project and got this problem when simply adding Supercharger as an effect.

For all cases I have to close the program using End Task in the WIndows Task Manager.

Any ideas on what might be causing this? A file or registery setting that is meant to temporarily suspend things that didn't get cleared? A corrupt file / database?

Nevermind. I have it working now.

Deleting windows temporary files cleared up the problem.
