I am a novice on this and can't load/install anything but Rx11 from the 7 suite product

I apparently install Ozone and Neutron but when i run the exe. file nothing happens. Is it the PC windows 10? or the processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2120 CPU @ 3.30GHz 3.30 GHz

Any ideas?!

If you have bought from iZotope site then (sometimes ?) there are installers for downloads as an alternative way of installation , maybe those installer .exe ?

Have you tried using the standard install method from where you bought ?

From Native Instruments site : latest version of Native Access for your OS

From iZotope site then : iZotope Product Portal

Else then it could be a problem with your antivirus , a problem with Windows security settings , a Windows system files issue , a MS Visual C++ dependency problem , take your pick. :

Fixing Software Update Installation Issues (Windows)

Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files

Allow an app to access controlled folders

block third-party app installations in Windows 11/10 (for how to unblock)

What exe? Some iZotope products have a standalone version, but others are just plugins (they need a host).

As @PK The DJ says, the only iZotope product you'll see a standalone product for now is RX11. Ozone/Neutron only exist as plugins so you should see them in your DAW or other host along with the plugin versions of RX11. You should also see the standalone Guitar Rig 7 if you installed that.

Thanks to all those who have answered. As i've said, i am a novice. Currently the RX is up and running and that's all. With plugins that need hosts, how do i know what host that would be? Do i need to buy a DAW first? and how does one install a plug in as against something that you launch?

Coming at this from another angle, what are you trying to achieve with RX, Ozone and Neutron? Are you writing music, in which case how are you creating your music? Do you use something like Cubase/Ableton/Maschine etc? They're all considered DAWs.

I am digiting cassettes from old bands of mine from 80s and 90s and cleaning them up on Rx11 with a view to then working on them with other software and then mastering final versions.

OK, makes sense now. You can use RX to clean up the recordings. Ozone will let you remaster the sound to a certain extent, but you'll need a host to run it with. I'd suggest you look at something like Steinberg Wavelab Elements as that's designed for audio editing and mastering rather than music composition. Once you have Wavelab installed it should appear in Wavelab's plugin list. For help with Wavelab you'll be best heading over to the Steinberg forums as they have more knowledge about that app.

I think that you can use a free software such as Audacity and here is a link how to install the plugins in Audacity. I have never used Audacity for something like this but it's free to use and keep and ought to work.

Ableton Live is great software , comes free in Lite version with e.g. S-Series N.I. keyboards and A-Series of N.I. keyboards. Also Audacity might have rather limited compatibility with Ozone. Cheapest supported (list) alternative probably is the Reaper DAW . Also then the price for Ableton Live can be seen here.

audacity didn’t find the izotope files. I just don’t know if not compatible or because some probme with the download of ozone and neutron. I can’t follow the guide on manual plugin
