product with no license. I need help!

Hello,

I am a public school teacher that recently purchased an S61 MK2 for use in my classroom. Unfortunately, the place I bought it from did not give me a license. I tried asking them about the license and they said they had no way of giving me a license. I also asked for a refund, but they refused. So now I have this S61 MK2 that would be amazing for my students, but lack the license to actually use it. Please help, it would mean the world to me and my kids!

The first question is if you can get the hardware serial transferred to your account and for that then you will have to ask N.I. Account Support . If they can transfer the hardware serial to your N.I. account then most likely the registration will give you a free Komplete Select software as base software for the hardware.

All such issues are handled exclusively by N.I.Account Support

Contact N.I. Account Support with proof of purchase and a picture of the serial on bottom of device and explain the situation

I don't think you need a license for the MK2 to work perfectly well as a MIDI controller.

I had purchased one without any licenses a number of years ago and used it perfectly fine until trading it in last month for the new MK3.

Komplete Kontrol software can be downloaded from this page:

From what I've read elsewhere on this forum, for the MK2 it's probably a good idea to stick to the now "legacy" 2.9.6 version. It's the one I used.

@nico5 nice catch on the serials, @rbose2 I've removed them from the post.
