Unable to register secondhand hardware in Native Access

I recently bought a Traktor Kontrol Z2 from Musicorp, which rent hardware which you can buy as ex rental (normally only 6 months old). The product was near new and came with all parts, vinyl control and cd's etc… and is in perfect condition no scratches or sign of use. When I try and register the serial it notes it is registered to another account. I raised a ticket through support but have had zero feedback. Can anyone assist so I can register the product in my account.

Sorry , nobody in the forum can fix the problem. It's a job for either N.I. support or Musicorp. For any chance at all for N.I. to act then you will have to send support a copy of purchase receipt and a picture of the serial on the bottom of the device.

All I can do is to ask @Jeremy_NI , could you please check ticket state for user named 'Copyright' ?

I provided all those things when I purchased my Z2 a few years ago but sadly, NI had zero response from the the registered owner according to their records (at least two people before me), and therefore it is still registered to them to this day. Your response from NI may be further delayed due to them attempting to contact the current registered owner.

Hence this part of my answer : "It's a job for either N.I. support or Musicorp. " . The responsibility for what is sold rests with the seller and if buyer can not register the device then buyer will have to ask seller for a return. The problem with secondhand goods is that with respect to the "provenance of goods" then N.I. will have to make sure that what they participate in is entirely legal and can not be questioned. But let's try and stay on the positive side of things , no need to make a problem out of something until there is a problem for "Copyright". Also then if there should be a problem then let's hope that Copyright can get a return from the seller. Of course then your experience is a bad one which ought to serve as an example that it is important to be able to return the purchased item to seller if it can not be transferred by N.I..

@PoorFellow NI Support Julie contact me this evening and was able to assist me. I provided photo evidence of the purchase, items and also serial numbers and they were able to remove the item from the previous owner so I can register the items myself in Native Access. Thanks so much. !! Awesome help

    Thanks Poor Fellow.

I appreciate the quick response. I raised a support note through the chat, I provided the receipt, agreement, serial number and also a photo of the items that I purchased. So hopefully they are able to help me.
