Error changing pad color?

As I am working through a project, I will select a pad and change its color when I add the instrument/one-shot to it. Randomly, unless I am activating a setting that I don't know about, instead of changing the color of the selected pad, it changes the color of every pad in the group. I will provide 2 images to show what is happening, and then another 2 of it working properly. My mouse is hidden but if you look closely, you can see that I am highlighting cyan to choose the color in each screenshot.

When you load a Group it has no color (so-to-speak), it uses the "default color" order set up in Preferences>Color, meaning by default the Group number/order defines the color (1-Orange, 2-Yellow, 3-Green, etc)…

Pads use the Group color unless you manually set a Pad to be a particular color, in that case the Group color will no longer change that specific Pad.
