did fresh install of windows 11 and redownload all native instruments programs using native access

And its all working again could have been a problem with iobit advanced system care deleting things it shouldn’t have

Same thing is happening with me… It took me hours to realize its my S49 Kontroller… Everything works fine in my DAW and all plugins with my old Midi Keyboard. The moment I plug-in the S49 everything is freezing and crashes. This started happening exactly after the update to firmware 1.8.7.

Please…. NI development team… How could you miss this? A simple test post update should've revealed this as the hangup is immediate and breaks everything.

How can we revert firmware? I haven't been able to find instructions on how to downgrade.

This does seem very odd. I'm almost in the exact same configuration as the OP but with the S88MK3 and have had no problems after the firmware update. Are the FW updates the same for all the various keyboard sizes?

Just out of curiosity, you did update your connection services first through Native Access, right?

Yeah Native Access was my first step. I troubleshot this a bit more and after factory resetting the KS49 things started to work again. But this still doesn't make sense to me because factory reseting the device doesn't revert its firmware to the original that it came with. I validated that the display still shows v1.8.7. Also, I'm on macOS Sonoma.

Hey there, when reporting a crash please include a step to step guide until the crash, that can really help to determine the source of the issue.

Perhaps! We've seen similar things with other reg or file cleaners:
