Kontakt Libraries suddenly empty or in demo mode. No updates possible.
Hello. I switched to a new Mac and now my bought Kontakt Libraries (Analog Dreams, Hybrid Keys, Ethereal Earth, Retro Machines) are all empty or in demo mode, when I try to open them in my projects.
I tried to update them in Native Access, but I rather get the message, that I need to upgrade Kontakt to the newest version of Kontakt 7, although I already updated and installed the version 7.10.6 of the Kontakt Player.
Or else I get the notification, that the sound files cannot be found in their right place on my Mac. I also tried to solve that by following the instructions on the NI page on how to locate and save your files in the right places, but it didn't help either.
Do you have any ideas on how to solve this?
Sincerely,
Kilian

Hello. I switched to a new Mac and ……..
You simply give far too little information about this "switch to a new Mac". You neither tell the OS versions involved nor exactly how much were carried over and how you did it. To me it sounds as you could possibly have installed apps and plugins to an external drive also which I personally think is generally not a good idea. But anyway then you need to tell people what is the exact scenario for people to better be able to try to assist.
Otherwise then the general troubleshooting advice for the 'Demo' issue is the Trouble shooter here : My Products Are Showing As DEMO in Native Access , especially '2. Your activation fails because of corrupted or missing activation tokens' and '3. You have corrupted XML files' (delete both NA XML and offending Kontakt product XML) then restart computer and log in again to see if that helps
Else if problem persists or if then contact N.I. Native Access and Installation Support and have them help fix the mess , or let the forum have a lot more and better scenario information.

Yeah you are absolutely right, thank you for your answer!
My old MacBook Pro was in macOS 10.15.7 and the newer model I switched to is in Sonoma 14.6.1
I completely migrated the content of my old Mac into the new one by connecting the two and loading the migration program.
This is my file management in Native Access. According to the NI online guide, I should have saved everything correctly.
I will write another, more detailed message to the forum. Thank you again for your time!

If you have moved from macOS 10.15.7 to Sonoma 14.6.1 then my guess is that you need to remove/uninstall and reinstall all apps and plugins . Also you will have to move to /use latest version of Native Access for your OS. You neglected to mention what is the new hardware but if there is a difference in that then that is one more reasons as to why to have to reinstall apps and plugins.
The below is the default locations that I could find for install (it is recommend that you change only Download and Content location and leave the application and Plugin locations as default) :
Content Location : macOS: Macintosh HD > Users > Shared
Application Location : Macintosh HD > Applications > Native Instruments
MacOS VST folder/path : Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plug-Ins > VST
