Hi,
Simple question, always seen the button in Reaktor (similar to Guitar Rig). Is there a creative benefit to this feature, what is its intended purpose in the context of the plugin?
It is the obviousā¦. to record audio files! š
More precisely, to record an Ensemble's audio output (from its first two audio outputs) and save it as an audio file on your disk.
For more info, read the REAKTOR Diving Deeper manual, section 6.2 (page 53)
I just use it for generating quick examples. The quality (bit depth sample rate) is not super hi-fi, but it's really easy to use, if you are working on something in stand alone, and need a quick audio example, nothing beats it!
@Sunborn Thanks for taking the time. I actually did look at the deep dive doc before posting, just out of respect for everyone's time. Guess I'm struggling with seeing the benefit, are people just recording so they can use created sounds as one-shots in sample packs, to use in samplers? I want to use it, just wondering why not simply export to audio from teh DAW, or if I am triggering it by MIDI anyways, why I need an audio file?
What you said, and what colB said, and even more possibilities⦠it is just an extra tool, mostly useful for creators who work in stand alone mode. You can simply hide it (together with the player) if you do not wish to use it⦠:-)
