Help with pitch/tempo
Hello. So I've been an avid user of Traktor for several years. Up until recently I never had any issues but as of late the tempo in TP goes up and down just a couple of points but for no apparent reason. It's enough to prevent the beats from staying matched. I'm using a Z2 with Technics 1200 MK2's, the most current version of TSP3 and Windows 11 home (One Drive is not installed). I even connected to my macbook but am still having the issue. I then had my decks serviced but am STILL having the issue. The company who serviced my decks ran them through Serato and they worked fine. When I mix regular vinyl records the issue is not there so I know at this point that Traktor is the culprit. I'm constantly chasing the pitch up and down just to keep a mix. Do I need to upgrade to TP4 to fix this or is there something I'm missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You could play one track digitally and the other via DVS. Then switch around.
That should tell you if both decks are affected.

That a turntable isn't running at exactly the same speed all the time is pretty normal. Experience itself with my 1210 Mk5 that tempo goes up and down a little bit often. Usually only around +/-0.02 BPM. Especially in long transitions two decks won't stay in perfect sync that way and I have to slow down the platter a little bit or speed it up for a moment. Would consider this pretty normal while spinning with turntables - no matter if real vinyl or a DVS is used. The differences aren't that much for me that I have to constantly have to use the pitch fader though. And that behaviour was exactly the same for me as I tested Serato on my setup back in the days.
If you don't have that issue with real vinyl and the technician didn't had it with Serato I expect that your turntables are fine. Any chance to test with another audio interface as the on in your Z2? Maybe something is wrong with your Z2 which distorts the time code signals. Did the technician tested with your cartridges and needles? Maybe something is wrong there.
I don't expect big changes with TP4. For me the behaviour is exactly the same with TP3 and TP4.
