I think you mean VST3 "plugins". And it is not that ridiculous.

Yes - NI is now the parent company of Plugin Alliance - and yes - I would love it if my PA plugins were NKS too - but NI cannot control what Plugin Alliance does (or does not do) within the code in their existing plugins.

No I think what he means is many PA plugins rely on hosts to manage their presets - Maschine is able to do that for many VST3 plugins that rely on host preset support - but for some reason this is broken for many PA VST3 plugins and their presets do not show - see discussion and partial solutions here:

but It should be possible to at least load .vstpreset standards as they do with vst2 where the presets are available.

In ableton this is possible, even if not every vst3 preset shows up in abletons browser.
