VST3 Plugin Alliance presets not showing

Hello,

Since going to VST3 my Plugin Alliance presets no longer show up in Maschine.

I have tried to reinstall the VST2 versions but they don't seem to show up only the VST3 versions do.

Any ideas?

I guess NI forgot to add support for .vstpreset format (the preset format for VST3)

Not many plugins these days rely on the host for preset management though but those PA fx do

I have a better answer now as I worked out a way to open VST2 NKS presets in the VST3 versions for some Plugin Alliance Plugins with a bit of messing around with templates. This overcomes the limitation in Maschine of Plugin Alliance VST3's not showing their presets in the mixer by integrating them directly into the browser as NKS patches - these have separate VST2 and VST3 NKS as the 2 formats are not entirely compatible as NKS (if you try and open the VST2 versions in the VST3 the params don't work and visa versa).

More to come - note this doesn't work for all, the Lindell's for example so far I've not been able to get them to migrate and the bx Masterdecks seem to have a bug that affects NKS recalling params properly but I will do what I have and what works - next will be the bx Focusrite

Actually some of the Lindells migrate and some don't which is odd. The 80 and Channel X do for example, but the 50 and SBC don't. And yet all support Apple Silicon.

I have this problem with the orange Vertigo and presets I made that I want to migrate to VST3.

Do the presets open at all with the VST3 version? Not all PA NKS migrate unfortunately but those that do load the preset but not the mapping so you have to redo that for the VST3. If it doesn't migrate then the only option is to redo it all (or keep hassling PA to update plugins to migrate but I am finding not all devs see the importance of doing that). I don't have that one myself and the demo expired

Just added a complete NKS pack for Plugin Alliance Black Box Analog Design HG-2MS with fully tagged NKS patches for VST2 & VST3

NI really need to get together with PA to sort this issue out, it’s pretty ridiculous that you still have to load the VST2 to get access to many PA plugin presets and even then only in Maschine, in Komplete Kontrol they don’t show at all
