Thinking of upgrading my laptop. Is Traktor natively or (emulated) compatible with the new Windows arm architecture laptops?

It feels like windows laptops are finally catching up to macs and I wanted switch, but not till there is good compatibility.

    So far no Arm Windows has been good are you sure you want to get one of these?

    I don't think Traktor has native support yet.

    Thanks. Sounds like it won't be a viable option until native support is released?

    I've been looking at surface laptop and dell xps models with the Snapdragon chipset.

    They surely are great laptops that can finally compete with the Apple counterpart. The only problem is that people underestimate them due to the "AI" naming and the bad reputation of Windows on Arm.

    By the way, I personally don't think that the "Prism" translation layer will run x86_64 music (and other professional) software that great.

    I don't know if anyone has tested it or if the NI team is working on an ARM version of their software, which I'm looking foward to see in the near future if possible.

    I think at the moment it is better to get a laptop with Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 (this naming.... Jesus Christ) CPU. You will get a good battery life and power.

    If you want to run Traktor on passively cooled Win, you may use MS Surface Pro 7 or 7+ with i5 CPU. Better is to get 7+ as one may relatively easily change SSD to bigger.

    There is no relevant reason use Snapdragon and WoA…. Unless you want to "play" with ARM.

    To be honest, I would wait and see how the ARM story goes, Microsoft's last attempts were, as we know, a complete failure. 😅

    Okay. I'll wait it out to see how it unfolds and when NI releases native support.

    @isotoxin will check that out.

    I have built a complex and nuanced ecosystem around traktor. I would rather invest that time to go deeper into traktor than to go to a new software right now.

    I just love the fact that you can get so many hours without charging on a Mac, Great performance, everything is plug and Play, and the screen brightness is amazing.

    Ultimately I'm just looking for a comparable thing on the Windows side of things

    Snapdragon is not going to bring it. AMD Ryzen could, but it depends on notebook manufacturers.

    And I strongly doubt there will be ARM port of Traktor on Win in comming few years. If ever. Rationally, there is no real need for ARM on Win. At least not for notebooks and stronger tablets. It brings no advantage, just compatibility problems….
