Intermittent Audio Issue on Traktor S4mk3 - Seeking Root Cause and Fix
Hi everyone,
I'm experiencing an intermittent issue with my Traktor S4mk3 setup for sometime and would appreciate any insights or suggestions for a root cause and fix.
Issue Description:
One of the channels (could be channel A or B) stops working properly after varying periods of use (anywhere from 10 minutes to 4 hours).
When this occurs:
The track loads and the waveform appears.
Upon hitting play, the waveform moves, but no audio is produced through the mixer for that channel. No sound comes through the master for that channel. No sound is also available for cue for that channel. The led meter in the mixer next to the channel shows no activity.
All other channels and the master output continue to work properly.
Temporary Fix:
Reloading the track repeatedly (around 6 to 10 tries) sometimes restores the audio.
However, the issue persists for that channel, requiring continuous reloading until sound randomly returns.
Permanent Fix:
The only reliable solution I've found is to reboot both the controller and Traktor software, which is highly disruptive.
Setup Details:
Two Traktor S4mk3 units, both experiencing the same issue.
Two computers: a Mac and a PC, both encountering the problem.PC runs Traktor 3. Mac runs Traktor 4.
Both setups use a custom mapping (ninja mapping), though I'm unsure if this is the cause.
Has anyone else faced this problem or have any suggestions on what might be causing it and how to fix it?
Your help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
