Installing Komplete 14 upgrade on new computer when I already have 12 on external drive

Hello,
I recently purchased the upgrade for Komplete 14 Collectors edition, upgrading from 12 Collectors edition. I have been using 12 from an external LaCie 2 TB hard drive for years now.

I recently upgraded to a 4 TB Macbook Pro and would like to install all of the content from this upgrade on the new machine as well as move all of my previous Komplete stuff to the there as well. My LaCie drive is pretty much full so I can't install 14 there.

What is the best way to do this? I'm worried about creating issues on my old projects (using Logic Pro) that use Komplete instruments and samples if I start moving things around. Can I just create a new NI content folder on my new machine and re-download everything from Native Access?

Thank you for any info!

The easiest way is to install from scratch on the new machine. Kontakt will find the samples in the new installation location so shouldn't cause you any problems.

There might be another problem though. What version of Kontakt are you using on your projects? If you're using K6 you'll find that's not supported with Sonoma so you'll have to replace all the instances of K6 with K7. Take a look at the article which explains how the auto-migration works - https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/12972701353757-Notes-about-Auto-Migration-of-Kontakt-Versions-in-DAW-Projects

Added context, When I got my new Mac I migrated everything from my old one. So I currently have Komplete 12 Collectors running as it was on my old machine.
