Kontakt 6&7 Activations suddenly missing?!!?
Hi,
Hope someone here can shed some light on a strange problem I've encountered today.
I run a slave computer which hosts Kontakt 6 (sometimes K7) in Vienna Ensemble Pro piped into my main machine. I was working away fine earlier today, but when I went to open the same song session this afternoon, I had a window come up to say that my Kontakt 6 needed activation.
Same message when I tried opening both Kontakt 6 and 7 standalone.
Upon investigation, a large number of activations including K6 & K7 seem to have disappeared from my Native Access account.
I fresh installed and then tried running Native Access on my master machine (I don't normally have NA on this computer) as a test, and everything appeared as normal.
I then tried reinstalling Native Access 2 on the slave machine, but it hasn't helped.
So to recap, if you take a look at my two screenshots, you'll see that running Native Access on my master machine shows 83 installed products, including my K6 & K7 activations, but on the slave machine shows only 54 products, including no Kontakt 6 or 7.
Any help you can offer is much appreciated.
Regards
Steve

Hi All,
Just a quick update.
It occurred to me overnight that the only thing that changed on my system between my activations working fine in the morning yesterday, and then later in the day not working, was I put the slave machine on the WiFi network at some point. This slave machine normally stays offline altogether during ordinary day to day operating.
I suspect this Native Access/NTK Daemon "auto update" snafu has bitten me on the you know what.
Cheers.

Hi Again,
OK, I think I've solved my version of this problem.
I found my way to a web page on the site here somewhere, and I followed through the list of files and prefs etc to delete in order to totally remove Native Access from my misbehaving machine.
This didn't appear at first to solve my issues. My list of activations still came up short, with crucially K6 & K7 missing.
Then either I accidentally (no idea how) found a more up to date page listing which files to delete, or I'd missed the crucial step the first time around, but the cure for my problems is to make sure to delete this particular file:
Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Native Instruments > Service Center > NativeAccess.xml
I'm now not sure if I needed to go through deleting everything else first, or whether just cutting straight to deleting this .xml file would have saved me a load of grief and the wasted two hours. YMMV.
This is the correct web page that describes the whole process:
How to Uninstall Native Instruments Software from a Mac Computer :
https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/210291865-How-to-Uninstall-Native-Instruments-Software-from-a-Mac-Computer
Hope this info helps anyone else who has similar issues.
Cheers.

Fixed it by deleting the XML file as above. Thanks for the info
