Yesterday I uninstalled some instruments in Native Access. See screenshot. Now my computer no longer sees many programs (apps). Not from Native Instruments, but neither many other programs. But most programs work normally. Later I saw that the uninstallation must be done with Windows (11) and not in Native Access. Who knows what the problem is and how it can be solved.

Btw, I'm not sure if this problem has anything to do with the uninstallation of the instruments but the problem occurred after that.

installation.

The NI uninstaller only removes NI software and it always asks the user to select the NI programs to uninstall.

Try resetting the Native Access XML file , look at section 8 here : My Product is Missing in Native Access

if that doesn't help then try Jeremy_NI's latest 'invention' , the replacing of the XML file !

    Quote Jeremy_NI :

It looks like the Native Access.xml file downloaded by NA is damaged/incomplete.

In this example it is missing the Kontakt 7 entries, please try the following:

Delete the Native Access.xml in the following location and restart your computer and open NA

    Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center

Mac: Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Native Instruments > Service Center

Repeat until the missing products reappear/the products in demo recognise their activation again.

If this doesn't work, please download this zip file, unzip it and and replace your xml file with this one.

    NativeAccess.xml.zip

If the above doesn't help then please contact : N.I. Native Access and Installation Support

There has been introduced chat support for Native Access assistance (at least daytime on normal work days) :

Quote : For assistance with purchases, accounts, and Native Access, you'll have an option to initiate a chat session. Simply click on the chat icon located at the bottom right corner, and you'll be assisted by a virtual assistant. If your issue remains unresolved after consulting our help articles, a human chat agent will be available to assist you.

Please refer to the : How to get in touch with our Customer Care or read my Support page functionality changes post here !

After receiving email confirmation then please allow support up to a week to answer and if they do not respond within a week then politely update your ticket to let support know that you are still waiting for a response ! Also N.I. support do not work in the weekend !

    Yep,

I foolishly made the mistake of using the using the NI uninstaller.

When I used it, it uninstalled widows office.

If it's this buggy, and NI recommends using widows uninstaller, why even provide the HI uninstall tool?

Seems unlikely to have happened that N.I. un-installation removes windows office but if it has then I will ask @Jeremy_NI to please make an assessment of this !

True fact! I watched it happpen! Clicked on the NI un-install button, and up pops a windows office uninstall….didn't give me the option to cancel.

And what's with the window that comes up when I close NA. It asks to take control, and I always cancel. I'm assuming it NI's, but it doesn't announce who the mfg is or what it's trying to do. Seems unlikely code this poor is written by NI

Or what about this. (See Link) Seems unlikely NI would take over 2 years to figure this out.

Unfortunately, reinstalling Native Access did not solve the problem. Attached a screenshot of all programs that are visible. The same goes for Windows11. For example, all instruments from Native Instruments are not visible and neither of Steinberg. And neither so many other apps. But the apps do work. Ask NI support today. Indeed as Scoop mentioned: why the option of uninstall in Native Access.

Revo Pro un-installer allows for sorting of what it reports ! . As does the Windows app un-installer. However , since that the NTK-Daemon is missing on the list then make sure that it is also installed and running !

Anyway , from what you report then to me it appears as if you are having some kind of advanced problems with your Windows installation that has nothing to do with the N.I. apps and more to do with Virus or Malware or something else like you having used third-party tools to tinker with the Windows system.

If you have a backup then try reverting to that. If you have some kind of virus or malware problem then however please notice that some of these can be very difficult to get rid of and might not even go away by a simple re-install of Windows !

I don't have a backup. Never needed one. My computer is very well protected with Esset. The problem started after I uninstalled a vew instruments with Native Access

What is very remarkable is that every time I open Revo or Windows Installed apps, more apps are visible.

Does that sound as a N.I. software bug to you or as a problem with your Windows ? (personally then I do not see how this could have anything to do with the N.I. software !)

Well , if you do not need one then you do not need one ! 🤔 (that decision most certainly should be determined by you and your needs ! )

Dear Jeremy, as I mentioned before: I don't know if the problems have anything to do with the
uninstallation of the instruments with Native Access, but the problems occurred right after that.
