Download Failed
I have installed the latest version of NA, and it shows 24 updates. None of them will update, all say "Download Failed"
I've tried restarting, rebooting, uninstalling and reinstalling.
Running on a MacBook Pro with the latest OS.
Everything was running fine, any help would be greatly appreciated!

latest OS
latest OS is neither accurate nor useful !
Please double check that ALL NI apps including NTKDaemon have full disk access !!! Also please check firewall and if Private Relay is on then turn that off in preferences ! :
Also disks must be of APFS if you use a newer OS
Also you must have plenty of space both on Download destination drive and temp space on System drive for installation !

Else contact N.I. Native Access and Installation Support , and you are in luck , Native Instruments just introduced chat support for Native Access , at least within normal work hours at normal workdays !

Thank you your time and for all your suggestions. All those conditions are good to go, and as mentioned, NA had been working fine.
The one thing I did not know was the support chat- thank you for passing that on. I will reach out to them and update here if I learn anything.
I'm sorry if "latest OS" seemed "neither accurate nor useful" - I guess I thought that it was assumed that the latest OS for a MacBook Pro is Sonoma 14.4.1, my bad for that assumption.

Well, I was unable to get through on the support chat, so I decided to try everything again. Uninstall, reinstall, turned private relay on and off, made sure of full disk access, rebooted.
Lo and behold, it worked. Not sure what it was, but updates completed.
Thanks again for the help!

The Macbook Pro was launched in 2006. If you just say "a Macbook Pro" it's not clear which one you're using.

Try disabling Private Relay in your iCloud settings, reboot, try installing again in NA

Thanks, did that, along with some other things and I got it to download.
I appreciate the help, for sure!

This is not just a mac thing. Its happening on windows systems too.
Native access and NTK Daemon is the worst ever at the moment, either it's a server-side issue, or something else is going on, the last 2 months of Native access has been a nightmare.
I am getting sick of seeing thet spinning circle "loading Products" for it never to load up properly.
Closing the program and reopening will load it ok, but then you get the "download failed" when trying to update Kontakt 7.

I've been experiencing this issue o the odd library too. Spotlight Asia and Session Strings Pro 2 specifically. Can't update them, can't reinstall them.
I am on a M class Mac system however.

Thank you very much for returning and for sharing that you have had the issue fixed and how ! 🙂
As for the "latest OS", then problem is that it is not accurate and depends on definition. Some users use an expression such as "latest OS" to signify that they are using latest update of whatever version of OS they are using. Others use the expression "latest OS" sort of same way that you do but then still not all share definition with respect to if that includes using latest update or just using MacOS v. 14 rather than e.g. MacOS v.11.
In computing then even a 'small change' (like one wrong bit) can give serious problems, like seen with one of the recent Sonoma updates (not that I think only one bit or byte wrong there 🤔), so it is important to try to be specific especially in a case where people think an expression is open to interpretation , and even if it is not then that does not prevent some people from trying or adding their own interpretation ! 😁
Please have a very nice day ! 🙂

Here's what I don't understand-
the update process through Native Access has always worked for me, even with Private Relay on- until this last round of updates.
I turned off Private Relay, reinstalled NA and rebooted, and the updates went through.
Today, just to check, I saw there was another update to Kontakt 7- and it updated with no problems and Private Relay was ON.
So is Private Relay the culprit or not?

Private Relay was a "known culprit", but it might have changed since NA has had quite some updates in the meanwhile. Maybe it's fixed, who knows... Unfortunately we don't get release notes prior to installing an NA update.
I've been shutting down PR whenever I wanted to install an update. I will try to install future updates with PR on, and see what gives.

And some folks say "latest OS" as a way to gloss over or entirely skip that part of the conversation.
I have decades of stories with people saying they were using the most current version of C++ or Assembler, or COBOL, for that matter. Or Windows, lol. But they had no idea that they were using a version that had gone out of support 10+ years before they started having trouble. "Ummm, that's not the most current version. IBM stopped supporting it in 1979, years before I even started my career. You might still be able to get away with using it, but no, that is not the most current version, and the coding rules are going to be different for such an old version."
Anyhow, I'm happy that the OP is working now. Have a great day!
