NKS Compatible Reaktor ensembles

Sunborn has started to post some tutorials on prepping Reaktor ensembles for use in Komplete Kontrol but there are also quite a few ensembles already made compatible. These include most by myself or Sunborn.

Also pretty much by everything by Goremall has been very expertly made compatible with NKS.

And I worked with the Boscomac developer to make all their ensembles (instruments and effects) NKS compatible - you have to download the NKS pack from their website as it was too large to upload to the user library (it includes previews for the instruments).

Over time I hope there will be more added to this list.

Wilderbeast

Made a NKS template for Wilderbeast an old Reaktor ensemble, originally by David Hobson, that Donovan Stringer and I modded years ago - I was noodling with it today and thought a NKS version might make this a bit easier to use so here it is - took ages to redo all the automation assignments in the ensemble as it was a bit lot of a mess:

Padrones

Another Reaktor blast from the past converted to NKS format - this is Padrone 1 and Padrone 2.2 by AuReality aka Paul Swennenhuis - I just put the automation assignments into a usable order and made the changes needed to import them into Komplete Kontrol, then added a mapping and previews

CRUDE

Also adapted Crude and Beezlebaum by Bolle to NKS - Crude is one of the most amazing sound generators in the user library and great to be able to tweak it all with actual knobs.

Rubiter Ate

Here's another favourite Reaktor ensemble adapted for NKS with previews - Rubiter Ate - a very quirky and interesting sounding VA with a formant subosc and drawable LFO. Old (goes back over 14 years) but still great - esp if you play it at high sample rates

There is a great large GUI reskin of the classic ensemble Reaktor LimeLite in the User Library by Purple Eagle, but it didn't map all params to Komplete Kontrol knobs (I think this goes back to the original ens) so I have completely redone the mapping and added some automation assignments in the ens. Because this is so cool in KK I made it a standalone product so it can be found under 'Drums & Percussion' not Reaktor. Follow instructions in the UL blurb for how to import this into KK and Maschine. It needs graphics in Image/reaktor not just Image, as well as dist_database. Once imported into KK the previews should work as long as you keep the ens inside the folder it unzips to.

Amphitryon

I have a backlog of Reaktor Ensembles I have made NKS compatible, but have been waiting for permission from the original developers before uploading. Amphitryon, is a stunning wavetable synth created by James Walker Hall many years ago. It was originally not available in the UL as it was a paid for ensemble (which I was one of the first to buy) but I have permission from James to make it available free now so I uploaded it to the Reaktor UL

Boscomac Collection

Courtesy of boscomac we now have the complete Boscomac collection all with NKS compatible versions by myself, with previews for the instruments that have snaps - also I edited the NKS versions so they all fit together as one big collection in KK like so.

The NKS versions are on his website as one big collection, with previews etc, the standard Reaktor versions are in the Reaktor User Library

Roland JP-8000 Reaktor Ensemble NKS

VERSION 2.2 UPDATE:

Ensemble is now fully NKS compatible, for use in Maschine and Komplete Kontrol, with an updated custom template and a fully reworked mapping, which has been applied on each preset. It is now appears as an individual instrument under Native Instruments, with its own graphics and resources. ;-)

Nope, unfortunately... they are a big mess for me, that i need to figure it out with the software i use (SoundForge - there is no way to install Audacity or Bigwigs!) but i'm usually too lazy for this (so far), maybe because i rarely use them and they kind of annoy me all this beep-beep every time i change a preset! 😛 I am mostly based on names if needed... when i see "saw bass" or "FM lead" for example, i know exactly what they are and how they sound, no need to hear them... but, i promise, i will find a quick way to make them, sooner or later!

Sunborn, this is way impressive! For those not familiar, put the the Roland JP-8000 folder with the .ens file where your presets go.
