Virtual dj to detect the controller but play with traktor

I once saw a dj who used traktor and also had the virtual dj open to detect the controller. He told me: I only have the virtual dj to detect the controller but how are you watching picho with traktor.
Does anyone know how to do it, please?

Numark controller? I seem to remember that it was only necessary to activate it, then you can close the other software and leave only Traktor open. But I don't remember it well anymore...

My understanding is, once you open VirtualDJ and it detects the controller, that controller is "locked" to VirtualDJ and it would not be possible to access it from other software.
Which controller are you referring to? Is it one that's not natively mapped in Traktor? Is there no existing third party mapping either?

He usado virtual dj con una controladora y después me ha funcionado con traktor. Virtual dj por defecto tiene casi todos los mappeos de aparatos djs. He visto los dos programas abiertos a la vez para que virtual dj detecte el aparato dj pero puedes pinchar con traktor

In Google Chrome, at the top right, the three dots, there is the option to translate any page. I say it in the form of an advertisement mate 😄

Windows PC is not capable of sharing one controller port across multiple applications. You will need a macOS.
