MacOS Sonoma and Compatibility (running well - feedback !)

I recently read through many posts regarding compatibility with Sonoma before upgrading the operating system. I run a Mac Studio M2 Max with 14.3.1 now installed. I am very pleased with the results. While I still await to hear the official word from Native Instruments I will say my software runs smoothly. I use Logic Pro X and Pro Tools 2023.12.1 along with Komplete Ultimate 14, Kontakt 7, Maschine 2, and Traktor Pro 3. For hardware I use the S88 mkII and Maschine mk3 as well as Traktor S4 mk3. Everything runs very well for me. I hope all who decide to upgrade to Sonoma have a pleasant and smooth experience.

All was well with my Native-Instruments software & plug-ins working with my new M2 Mac Studio with its 14.3.1 macOS. However, all is NOT WELL when I recently updated to Sonoma 14.4. It messed up a whole lot of plug-ins including Kontakt 7 working with MOTU's Digital Performer. (Sonoma 14.4 also messed up a number of VSL and EastWest plug-ins to work with Apple's Logic Pro!!) So. . . learn from my mistake! DO NOT update your macOS to Sonoma 14.4!!!

THANK YOU! I did not know 14.4 was out. I will be sure not to update and thankfully my updates are set to manual versus auto.

I’m still squatting on 13.6 until NI gives the go ahead on Sonoma for my MK3 S-61 keyboard, Kontakt, and Reaktor as well as when Apple-iLok get their ****** figured out regarding whatever it is that broke iLok with 14.4.

It's not only an ilok and NI issue : it seems this 14.4 update is a plague.

 USB hubs, printers, Java, and more seemingly broken by macOS 14.4 update

Ouch! So glad I always hold off before running an update and never allow autoupdate

Funny their release notes just mention some new emojis - not major system changes - those are some badass emojis :)
