Just a quick question.
I was wondering if presets created and saved using vst2 NI plugins will still load and sound the same using vst3 versions of the same plugins?
If you mean plugin's internal presets (even user-made), yes of course.
If you mean NKS presets, then still yes, but only for those plugins that are successfully migrate from VST2 to VST3.
Here's a list of the developers and plugins that we know so far:
Thanks Sunborn.
I haven’t had much opportunity to test it myself as I'm currently not able to get in my studio.
Most of my user presets are tweaked versions of NI factory ones, a few I created from scratch. Monarch, Massive and Super 8 mostly. I was just a bit concerned that the vst2 to vst3 migration might corrupt them. Glad to hear they won't.
You shouldn't have a problem with Massive or Monarch but if you were using the old VST3 version of Super 8 those presets are not compatible with the Reaktor version
Oh well, if I lose the Super 8 presets I made it'll be a good excuse to revisit it and get acquainted again. I've actually got both versions of Super 8 but I can't for the life of me remember which one I was using when I made them.
Thanks again.
