Komplete Hard Drive Access

Hi, I own an old copy of Komplete 11 with its associated hard drive of 160gb of stuff. I can't access it in Kontakt though. When I open Native access it acknowledges it being there but I've no idea how to get into it. Any help gratefully received! Phil

Have you installed the software? Even though it's supplied on a hard drive it has to be installed onto your computer before you can use it. The drive just saves a lot of downloading of the bigger sampled instruments and expansion packs.

Komplete 11 would have installers on that hard drive...maybe? Kind of like if the old distro CDs were all one big hard drive. But man, K11 was years ago...long before Native Access replaced the old portal thingie.

I just recently got upgraded to "real fiber", so now I can download everything from Native and its partners, all while watching 3 streaming shows on Prime, 45 streaming podcasts, and 20 YT channels of cat videos. Not a blip, not a glitch. Well, if you don't include the cat videos!

Yeah I got upgraded to 1Gb fibre last year, absolute game changer for software installs! Not so much cat videos :)

Thanks guys, I will try installing it again. I had a problem when I swapped to my MacBook from an iMac where the previous installed komplete instruments disappeared. I took it up with Native but they couldn’t find my registered copy so I couldn’t recover them. I’ve since found the hard drive so I now have the serial number etc. so perhaps installing it again then keeping up to date on the portal will do the job. P.

There is a video here , but I don't know how much help it will be to you ! : "KOMPLETE 11 (ULTIMATE) - HOW TO INSTALL - THE ENTIRE PROCESS" , there is also a discussion , but alas more about suggestions because the install failed !

I have no idea if you have to use old version of NA (Native Access Legacy Installers for Older Operating Systems) or if you can/should use present version. (also switching between versions has previously been seen to generate problems at least in some cases making it difficult to get V2/3 to install properly after having had V1 installed)(at least it has been so with Windows but I do notice that your profile says Mac)

I don't have fiber :( so I instead of bought 4 VCR's and 2 real cats. It's pretty much the same.
