Reaktor as plugin in DAW prevents plugin encoder function on MK3 S-61 keyboard?
Is this a known bug? Or an easy fix?
When I load Reaktor as a plugin in my DAW, my Kontrol MK3 S61 keyboard goes into DAW mode, and I do not have the ability to use any of the encoders as CC controllers. The encoders are in DAW mode and control the channel strip. I cannot seem to get out of DAW mode, as the other two buttons (Browser and Plugin) are not backlit and do nothing if I press them.
I'm using Logic Pro 10.8 and Reaktor 6 (updated to current version).

I think you have to switch to MIDI mode: https://www.native-instruments.com/ni-tech-manuals/kontrol-s-mk3-manual/en/midi-mode
And, IIRC, you have to do that every time you switch tracks in your DAW.

Also, I want to add that loading in Reaktor instruments within Komplete Kontrol is not a reasonable solution for me. I do not have access to my user presents in or the Macros knobs when using Form or Rounds in Komplete Kontrol.

It could be that you are the first to experience this particular problem. it could also be a problem with Logic or the Mac. it seems odd that the controller goes into MIDI or DAW mode. also, I don't' understand why you can't see your presets in Komplete. I certainly don't have any of these problems.
I run Reaper on WIN10 with a S61 mk1, so I am not much help to you from here.
Good luck finding a reason

You should do, you probably just need to add the path to where you have your user presets or ensembles saved in the Library panel in settings
Working in Logic for me (in KK) but I'm still on a MkII

KK does load the factory presets, but not my user presets. Second, the GUI for Reaktor synths in KK is basically a dumbed down version. I want to be able to automate and control all the functions in the synth. I want to use the Learn MIDI functionality to assign a parameter to a controller (e.g. my MK3 S-61). For example, the Drive and Charge and Deform knobs in Form. In KK, the GUI for Form does not give you access to the four macro knobs.

But either way! It would be nice if NI would answer this question rather than searching for a workaround. Why does my brand new NI MK3 keyboard go into DAW mode-only when loading Reaktor as a plugin in my DAW?

It certainly can load user presets too but I take your point about the controls

@oobe79 Just to be sure. There is no direct integration of Reaktor with the new keyboards, the full integration is only possible with the Komplete Kontrol or Kontakt 7 plug-ins. Or do you mean that when you open Reaktor in Logic it bereaks the connection between the Komplete Kontrol or Kontakt plug-in and the keyboard?
