@Marecki Thanks for the update. If anyone is confronted with this issue we would first recommend to make sure that you have all the latest Windows updates, you can check This article from Microsoft.
Don't hesitate to contact our support: https://bit.ly/NI_support_Kontrol

Version 1.5.7 is out. Installed successfully but i couldn't find a changelog. What changed since 1.5.5?

@blomquist nothing user facing. Just cleaner code.

My windows is fully updated and mine still don't work. Got my keyboard over the weekend. Couldnt use it. NI already showing bias for mac users.

There is no bias for Mac users. There was an issue with the firmware driver for the S88 on Windows, which Microsoft replaced and redistributed in December.
Are you on the S88? If so, please get in touch with our support team. We have heard from multiple users who thought they were fully updated, but weren't, and were missing the latest driver updates and/or minor version updates.
If you're on the the S49/61, what issues are you seeing?

@Matthew_NI @Jeremy_NI I posted in the other thread a video showing the problem I was having with updating my S88 from 1.5.5 to 1.5.7
@Chris_NI said he would bring it up with the QA engineers today and get back to me, do I need to contact support or should I wait for Chris?

and video showing it in real time (apologies for 2 second black screen fairly near the start)

I just reformatted and did a fresh install of windows followed by a fresh install of my NI products (bought a m2 drive for my system drive)
I then tried updating the S88 mk3 firmware and it went just like the vid I posted earlier ( https://youtu.be/auThrRprqC8 ), where the s88 was properly installed according to device manager, but during the update to 1.5.7 the driver became uninstalled and hence update failed.
I’ve since followed @Jeremy_NI instructions that he posted yesterday here
and it worked perfectly, update took just over 5 mins to run and I’m now on 1.5.7

Installing the edited driver is impossible for me on Windows 10 Enterprise. Unfortunately our IT department won't allow us to run drivers that are not signed - and my machine has a bitlocker on that functionality.
My chances of getting permission are little to none.
You guys will have to get this driver signed and on the website for download in the official downloads section.

I am a Windows user for the last 30+ years. I have been making music using PCs since Cakewalk 1.0 in 1988. I have to say that I have never seen a worst software implementation for that system in my entire life. This is worse than very bad. Having to hack my computer by installing a modified (by who knows who) version of the Univeral Serial Bus devices. I got my S88 MK 3 today and I feel like I should but that thing back in its box and send it back to N.I. I am deeply confused and frustrated by the lack of support for Windows PC users for such a simple thing as updating a firmware. This has to be a joke. My PC is top notch, fully updated. Setting up that device should have been a breeze on any platform. This is not starting well.

Hi Gaetan,
If you're on the latest version of Windows, with all the minor updates installed, then Microsoft already provides all the signed drivers needed for Kontrol S MK3.
On Windows 10, it should be
19044.3930 / 19045.3930
or laterOn Windows 11, it should be
22621.3007 / 22631.3007
or laterI am curious - did you run into something else? I am concerned that perhaps you had to follow through the old workaround steps, for a bad experience, which hasn't been necessary since last year.
Do you have anymore info on what went on? I'd like to help.

I have just spent a fortune upgrading from the S88 Mk2 to the Mk 3. I have spent 2 whole days trying to update the firmware. I have attempted everything suggested by Native instruments, all to no avail. I cannot get any help other than elegant .pdf’s that take me nowhere. The driver claims to be Mk3 but is dated 2022. The firmware update does not work.
I am using separate power from the usb data connection. I am using a USB A to USB 3 connection for data. I have tried a USB 3 to USB 3, but this makes no difference. I have a useless (literally) keyboard, and Native Instruments have told me they have no one available at the moment. Well I need it urgently, and have spent about 10 hours attempting to get this simple firmware update to work.
I really expected better
