Arranger improvements

Would be nice if we could drop midi directly into clips.

Also, could get midi notes to sound when we click on them in the pattern (also sound when dragging vertically)? This is an obvious miss that should not be hard to implement. Would make midi editing much easier.

While in arranger mode or in ideas mode, please add a real-time group or track performance editor that can record/automate mutes on the fly. Please make it super easy to edit.

Also i almost forgot, pls add the the ability in the piano roll to overlay all patterns in a group vs the “soloed” pattern for easy editing and and note copying to easily keep things in key, like in Fruity Loops. Also when you edit notes in the piano roll, when you click that note with a mouse have an option to “hear” that note, even as you move that note up or down the piano roll.

Record lock states into the timeline/arranger.

Imagine playing on the fly, change lock states with a midi foot controller and record your performance in the timeline.

In the first instance, I'd say:

• Be able to view midi events and waveforms in pattern and clip blocks.
• Double the track height and display a horizontal volume slider below the track name, and two rotary knobs for panning and swinging.
• A button that enlarges the arranger window down to the last track.
• be able to chain patterns in a scene
• Easily copy patterns and clips from one group to another using the right mouse button.

One thing I learned from reading these threads is how many people use Maschine as a regular desktop software with mouse and monitor. I would never have guessed that.

I would love to be able to assign diferent BPM to each SCENE.

Much of us came from old school sequencers ... and it was a common thing to be a able to assign an specific BPM value to each part of the song if it would be necesary. In terms of Maschina .... it will be equal to be a ble to adjust a diferent BPM value to a specific scene (and avoid to use the master bpm of the proyect).

This one is a very very musical request!!!!

In general ... I really like the arranger workflow as it is. In fact I love it! To me, the only missing feature is the BPM setting to each scene.

@walerandei what do you think:

• If the tempo is associated with a Scene, then that could also be applied when performing in Ideas mode.
• If the tempo is associated with Sections, then the same Scene could be used with different tempi within an Arrangement.
• If Scene and Section both have tempo associated with them, Scene tempo would be applied by default and Section tempo would override Scene tempo.

I like the last option best.

I would love an arranger view that is either modular or a detachable window where you can see all your instruments and scenes/patterns in already grouped with the maschine system with the wave forms and full midis, where you can slice or use a blade tool to chop audio, a loop tool, fade in and out an increase/reduce clip tool and all the other fancies that FL Studio, Logic and Ableton has in their arrangers.

This last suggestion may not necessarily be an arranger specific thing...but as NI has so many other plugin companies under its umbrella, it would be nice to see for example the Maschine software coming with its default mixer but through the audio unit scan it recognizes for example you have the ssl 9000J channel strip from Plugin Alliance and you now have the option to load a channel strip or bus compressor etc across the entire project at low to no latency

with plugin alliance, iZotope they should make the daw now with possible to have them straight at no latency, the CPU of NI need to be improve too

with how big NI is now with isotope plugin alliance, Brainworx, they should be able to make a awesome Daw with a new Maschine3 with a new Maschine MK4, and Maschine+2

the arranger view is great but agree that we need more flexibilities, more options, and more tools add

a design graphic need to be improve with a more modern analogic style, able to see in bloc wave sample, as midi note

you can already do it mate at any time on Maschine MK3\+ , just need to be in ARRANGER VIEW en software : SHIFT+ 4D encoder and scroll left or right

but will be great to be able to do that on IDEA VIEW as well, it's not possible for now
