Using a voucher

I recently bought Komplete Standard and just received a voucher in an email. One of the products that interest me is Session Percussionist. However, when I tried to use the voucher I got a message saying it was already discounted and I couldn't use the voucher. Is that correct?

OK, the problem is solved. The voucher I have had a couple of OO, which I read as 00. So typing in letters rather than numbers solved it. In 2023 we shouldn't be confusing ourselves with whether it is an O or an 0.

It should say at the bottom of the email in the fine print, but yes usually the % off vouchers are only good for non-sale items

I did read the fine print on the email (see below) but cannot understand why this excludes Session Percussionist, which I didn't think was on sale at the moment. Perhaps somebody can explain this to me?

1. This e-voucher is valid on all Native Instruments software downloads available at the ni online shop. It is not valid on updates, upgrades, crossgrades, edu licenses, NKS, hardware, or products that are part of a special offer.

2. The e-voucher is personalized and only for use by the appointed addressee/user. It is not transferable and may not be re-sold.

3. The e-voucher expires if not redeemed within six months after receipt.

4. If the total amount of the e-voucher is not redeemed, the holder is not entitled to payment of the remaining balance.

5. Only one e-voucher can be used per product.

6. The e-voucher may not be redeemed for cash

I hadn't checked to see if it was on sale. I just looked and It's $99 in the US for me, I was able to use a $25 off coupon for it. Is it the same price for you? Perhaps you have a discounted offer from another purchase?

Ah, that is interesting. In the UK, where I am, we have different pricing. Session Percussionist is listed at £89, and the voucher I have is similar to yours. I am dealing directly with NI, so it is odd that I cannot use the voucher as you can?

Mine is not working!? Bought Komplete 14 and wanted to get an expansion pack and it says that its not valid for this product???

Vouchers are only valid for N.I. products not with third-party , also vouchers almost never is valid for anything already discounted !

Otherwise , if you think that the voucher should be valid for the purchase and it does not work then you will have to ask support for help !

I have voucher I need to redeem after purchasing a new S Series MK3 keyboard. The email says its value is £22 but on the website for the keyboard, under the heading “Included Software” https://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/keyboards/kontrol-s49-s61-s88/included-software/ it says the following under the voucher section.

Any Kontakt instrument of your choice

Choose an additional NI Kontakt instrument you like for free, including any new NI release or classics like Noire, Playbox, and Session Guitarist.

This is suggesting the value of the voucher is greater than £22 and equates to the full price of the NI Kontakt Instrument selected.

Can you please clarify what the actual value is please. And if the website is correct and is worth the price of a NI Kontakt instrument, is there a list of qualifying instruments I can use my voucher with listed anywhere?

Appears to me as if you might have bought the keyboard a while back (you totally omitted any information about time of purchase) and what you got with your purchase then would be determined by the offer that you got at the specific time of purchase !

I am completely unable to have any meaningful discussion with you on the topic since I as a Moderator have zero access to any kind of information about your purchases. If you think that you have not had what you were promised then you will have to take that up with N.I. Purchase Support !

Hi PoorFellow.

Thank you for your swift response. It was purchased and activated mid-January. Although currently in for repair due to a limp Bb3 key.

I didn’t really pay too much attention to the voucher at the time as so used to them always being £22 and can’t be used with any other offers over the years. Plus the vendor I purchased it from in England also threw in Komplete 13 Ultimate for free so was overwhelmed with a lot of new instruments and FX at the time.

Having a tidy up of my in-box today and looking on site I noticed a mismatch in what voucher is valid for, and thought I might have overlooked it. So it sounds possible NI may have extended the voucher from £22 to the value of a NI Kontakt Instrument for new purchasers since I purchased mine.

No worries, not desperate for anything new from NI and I can wait until Komplete 15 in the Summer of Sound sale next year (if release and promo pattern is the same) for more products per £.

I have no overview with respect to when the different offers starts and ends. I only know from experience here that for one offer arriving later to be valid for someone who has already purchased then it would have had to have been bought like 'super close' to when the offer kicks (at most maybe a couple of days I guess). (Ref. Matt_NI here)
