I Need Evidence That I Did Not Activate My Serial Number

Hi - I am trying to return my Maschine to Guitar Center but need evidence that I never activated the serial number. How do I get that?

And do you really need the evidence? Or do you think, you need it? Usually sellers are able to reset used serial number with help of NI, I guess.

Maybe that NI could give you "certificate", that given serial number is not used at given moment. But what if you use it one second later? I mean, any certification that serial number has not been used, has rather limited informational value...

I went to return it and they said they needed it, which as you point out has flaws. But nevertheless..
