Can't find how to change the bpm of a track with Kontrol X1 MK3
I'm sure I'm just not seeing it but I can't find how to change the bpm of a track with this shinny new X1 MK3. I could have missed it due to the first few topics in the manual is FXs and the usb hub....both clearly the most important items.

That works but once again the team at Native thinks that there is no difference between 125bpm and 125.22.

I think the steps depend on the range you have set your pitchfaders to be.

Ok I'm still not seeing how to get the bpm's down to sequential changes.
No one else has a problem with this? Any help would be appreciated.

If you set the range to 4% and you change BPM, how large are the steps?
They will probably not be 0.01, but should be close, around 0.02 - 0.04

There is two different kinds of code being used by NI controllers. One is tempo based (+/- percentage value of original tempo [in effect, a multiplier]) and one is absolute bpm value based (just a number +/- a small additional number).
If you want the tempo adjustment to work like S5/S8/D2 controls and irrespective of individual tempo, that piece of code needs to be changed.

Thanks for getting back.......changed it to bpm and 2% and the steps are 125.06, 125.19, 125.32, 125.44.....that's pretty big chunks during a dj changeover. I've been using my X1 MK1 for years and for thousands of gigs and although I had to get a special mapping it was possible to go .01, .02, .03, etc. Looks like I have to wait around for a mapping like that to show up...I'm basically pissed that I have a piece of gear that I'm excited about and can't take a chance with using it.

I'll have a look at changing the code to change in steps of +/- 0.01 bpm (+/- 1 bpm if you hold it down while turning).

I posted a link to a qml-mod right above your post. Have a look for finer grained bpm adjustment.

You did it.....fully tested and making sequential adjustments. Thank you!
The response to my NI support ticket was the following:
"Hello Bruno
I do understand all your points.
As you know, the X1 has some limitations like any other piece of equipment. The fact that the tempo is using an encoder with steps makes it difficult to be sequential.
I will definitely share your thoughts with the Traktor team so they can consider it for a future update of the firmware and mapping if needed."
I knew that there were no limitations in the hardware or software that was making this an issue if for no other reason that there I used a midi map that did the same thing with the X1MK1. Felt like I was getting the runaround.
