Assuming that you want to record external sources, right? Such as your vinyls, CD,s etc.

Did you selected Input sources? Because all your references has to do with Outputs only (deck A, deck B etc)

To do external recording you need to configure your Inputs first.

I don't know the DDJSZ, but if it's a controller that does not work in standalone mode you have to use internal routing.

Select internal in both output routing and mix recorder https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/209590589-Recording-in-Internal-Mixer-Mode-in-TRAKTOR

Don't select anything in output record. (In the output routing tab)

If it still does not work please show us a screenshot of your Output Routing and mix recorder settings.

Thank you for your assistance.I've had this working for years but something with apple forced an update and i had to reconfigure Traktor again and i believe something in the mapping is wrong because deck B (right deck) doesn't work anymore. I'm actually trying to use the internal recorder so In the output section i selected internal recorder and in output master i selected 1 for L and 2 for R and in mix recorder i selected internal and all the sound frm deck A and B only comes out from my A channel. Whwn i slide fader to deck B there is no sound. I apppreciate the help and im willing to pay you something for your time in assisting. 786-877-3033.

    Mhh

i selected internal and all the sound frm deck A and B only comes out from my A channel

Are you sure this happens when "internal" is selected. Because this sounds like the behavior of external.

Can you show us a screenshot of "Audio Setup"?

    I think @lord-carlos meant the „audio setup“ page in Traktor‘s preferences. 😉

Just to make sure: Did you check your Traktor‘s crossfader is assignened correctly?

I just assigned them and the music is still only coming out of deck A. Even deck B is coming out of deck A

Did you try using your computer´s internal audio interface to see, if this issue only occurs with the DDJSZ connected?

good point. in audio set up i just selected the built in option (using my Mac speakers) and its still doing the same thing. All music still coming out of Deck A Is it safe to say it's the crossfader may be damaged?

Please disconnect your controller and let‘s stay with your mac‘s audio interface to locate the problem

In „audio setup“ try clicking „restore“ at „routing“.

If this still does not change anything, try swapping the crossfader assignment the other way round (Buttons next to the crossfader -> Moving crossfader to left for deckB and right for deckA). Does that swap the problem, too.

when i click restore in the audio setup. When i slide the crossfader from left to right both A & B sound so i can hear A on B and B on A. its like the crossfader does not isolate A from B. i also swapped the fader left side to B and Right side to A and i can still hear both when i slide form left to right

To reassure as English is not my first language:

    Your controller is disconnected?

Clicking on "restore" in "audio setup" did not change the issue?

When swapping crossfader assignments, the issue also swaps directions?

Do deck C and deck D work as intended?

its okay. you are doing great! the controller is still connected via USB to the MAC

Clicking on "restore" in "audio setup" did not change the issue? No it did not

When swapping crossfader assignments, the issue also swaps directions? no, this also did not solve the issue
