savest way that infos from "Edit" will be written to the music-files?

hi there,

due to accident I found out, that Traktor isn´t writing always all infos to the files - haven´t figured out when and when not it does

is there way to always write it in? I want for sure those corrections in the music-files not only in the track-collection ;)

and yes "Write all tags to files" is marked as "on" (cyan dot)

Traktor only saves some kind of info into the tags. Some other data is saved in Traktor´s folders.

I use OneTagger and/or musicbrainz´ Picard to tag my music. Make sure to convert id3tag version of the tracks to the latest standard (v2.4) or at least the most common standard (v2.3).

sounds logical, I´ve simply pressed "OK", but now will try it with first "Apply" - thank you!

but damn, i pressed it as answered although I still didn´t know the savest way that it´ll stored definitivly

the things: Comment, Rating and changes in Artist & Trackname

everything else is cherry on the cake for me ;)

I´m on macOS and for these essential tags like comments, artist, trackname and genre I use apple´s music.app. Which works safe for me. These tags are read by Traktor without problems.

I also use music.app to convert the id3tags to version 2.4. And I rely on its music management like re-naming and sorting the file into folders.

Sometimes faulty files deny to save my tags. Then I search for another copy of the song or convert that file into .aac.

Occasionally I edit tags in Traktor. I change the tags of one or more selected files, press Apply (which is optional when you don't want to make further changes) and then press OK.

When you see tags are not changed, my first guess is that the file uses an old id3tag version.

so GREAT it now works with first "Apply" and then "OK"

bit ponderous, but hey if this is the way for my setup of track-collection than it must be...
