A friendly reminder that we made changes to the point system last month:

Important changes to the point system We took your feedback into account and decided to make adjustments to the point system. Starting today, you'll get 3 points when your answer is accepted. You won't get a point simply by posting an answer to a thread any more. We also increase penalties for spamming and posting abusive comments.

Just small note. I have experienced that two of mine comments were marked abusive/spamming, but I do not see anything abusive or spamming on it. Maybe it would be good to review those reports by NI humans before penalty for spamming is applied.

The admins can see who was the person who gave you spam flags, and act accordingly... i can not see any spam in your comments (though the second one "It comes, when it comes. No need to know more." might annoy some people).

We should have some kind of penalty for people who falsely tag comments as spam.

Annoy, yes. But it is IMHO far from abusive.

It may be, that someone did mark it so by mistake, not conciously. It is not a great deal, it just came to my mind that this happens.

Check this thread…a guy insulting everybody started to flag all the ones trying to help him…

Seriously…working for days answering someone and finding a solution for him gives you 3 points. A guy deciding it’s fun to multi flag you makes you lose 20 or 40 points in 3 min…do you really think this is ok?

As in other occasions I had @Jeremy_NI accepting 3 of my answers. Should be 9 points, right? Well…no…

AFAIK there's no way to remove Flags right now but I'll double check with the platform provider.

So…are you telling us it’s ok to remove 10 or 20 points (or more in case of multiple flags) without any control?

Same is valid for assigned “accepted answer” points

This is not right and should be fixed asap.

A random (and rather aggressive) newcomer, who start to flag comments of some valuable members as spam or abuse, and in result the leader member of the month lost 15 points and two more members from the top-5 positions just disappeared from the leader-board.

I fully support LostInFoundation and the other two members and if i may request, this aggressive user to be contacted by an admin and asked to remove his flags from all non-offensive comments, and in case he refuse to be banned from the forum.

I think the most important thing is to regulate the issue.

It doesn’t matter this case, these point or this user, who maybe just had a bad day (or bad months in his case ☺️) and acted once in a not very polite and correct way (it can happen to all of us).

What matters is that people interacting with the forum (and maybe putting a lot of effort in it, for whatever reason, being it the will to help others, the desire to test his own skills in responding to technical issues, or even just trying to win a voucher to use for a new product he desires) know how things work, how they are regulated and that forum’s administrators and moderators are here to check things and smooth out what is not working correctly.
