Is there any way to make Komplete Audio 6 work on Mac OS 11.7.8?
Hi, I upgraded to macos 11.7.8 but my Komplete Audio 6 that used to work perfectly previously is not being detected at all. I can't install the drivers as the mac OS drivers available are for an older version of mac and the driver doesnt run saying the hardware is not compatible with this os. I tried the device updater as well but it does not even detect any Komplete Audio hardware. Is there any solution to this?

I’m afraid it isn’t compatible

@darkwatch Is it a Komplete Audio 6 MK1 ? As far as I know it still should be working. Have you tried to update the firmware from a different computer? A Windows 10 system for example?

Its the silver one as shown below which i belive is the mk1. Sorry how do I update the firmware in a diff computer for it to carry over to macos then? I run a Windows 10 too with the same interface with the latest drivers etc installed and it works. But within the macos I have the issue described. Thanks!

Komplete audio is classified as class compliant. Sorry perhaps I am missing something but does it not show Komplete Audio interfaces with a tick against big sur? So it should be compatible?

I checked that page because imo it should work. What made me doubt it is the “only current generation” part.
But since also Jeremy thinks it should be working, I hope the article (being it not so clear) is not correct in saying this.
About firmware update suggested by Jeremy: being the firmware “internal” to the device, once you do it (even on another computer), the device will remain updated. It doesn’t need to be “carried” to the Mac. It is part of the interface

@darkwatch It's a Mk1, there were firmware updates that may be necessary to ensure current MacOs systems compatibility, so the idea would be to update the firmware either from a Windows computer or an older macOs system.

Thanks for clarifying - it seems I have the latest firmware (checked from my windows 10 system). So no joy :(

@darkwatch Is it a M1 mac or an Intel mac?

Have you checked security settings, especially to allow the interface access to “microphone”?
This setting is basically to allow audio interface to operate via USB as system sound input and output.

@darkwatch I got in touch with our hardware department. It should work on a MacOs 11 system. How is it connected to your computer? Have you tried different USB sockets?

@darkwatch Checking back on this topic, were you able to make it work?

I wasn't able to do proper tests and switched to my windows machine temporarily. I will try in the next few days and report back
