Summer of Sound is here. What y'all doing?

My problem (to answer the OP) is another one.

I’m interested in just a couple of instruments too. But even updating my Collectors would be a good deal.

But… I waited till now cause I’m in a sort of moral dilemma: NI behavior lately is really getting worst (not that before it was good, but…)

Things like bugs (even serious ones, see NA state) get acknowledged by them (“the team is aware”) but not addressed. Threads reporting issues with their programs older than 2 months get an initial answer (“we are aware and working on it but we don’t wan’t to give an ETA”) but then get abandoned. And users who paid for products get left with programs not working as advertised for monthS without them feeling they have to solve the situation

Upgrade paths advertised on the site (like the one for Vocal Colors for owners of Piano Colors, released just 13 days ago…or others) suddenly disappear from the site, not taking in consideration that some users may have bought a product counting on what they advertised.

Tickets opened with support not receiving any answer after 3 weeks (I said 3 weeks because it’s my direct case, but I know of people waiting from even more time). And the reason of this delay is that they are submerged by requests because of the mess they made releasing products (once again see NA) without having tested them properly (let’s admit it, WE are NI beta testers…). Which is another BIG problem…

All these behaviors by NI are clearly an indicator of 0 consideration towards their users. And my concern is that WE are allowing them to feel they can act like this by buying new things from them even if they don’t accomplish their own duties. I would really love NI users to raise up and tell them “hey, if you don’t fix what I already paid you for, I won’t give you any more money”. But it will never happen.

Therefore my moral dilemma (and why I’m still hesitating in taking advantage of the good offers we have now): is it correct to give them some more money just because I would like to have a couple of new instruments, endorsing like this their bad behavior towards consumers?

Usually what I do is a pdf of the 2 “what’s new for me” and then eliminate what’s in both (and the errors). What remains, is the difference between the 2 versions

Be ready to lose even more. Have you seen in the forum how many people having troubles after purchasing during summer of sound? If they were saying in the last 2 months they were submerged by tickets (mainly because of the NA mess), imagine now: those + all the new problems with summer of sound purchases not installing, the site making errors suggesting wrong update/upgrade paths, people buying the right path but NA saying them they don’t have the right base product, demo mode for full instruments,…

If it took them 2-3 weeks to answer a ticket before, imagine now (my own personal ticket is there still waiting after 3 weeks now…)

Sorry for you. If there is someone not deserving to wait, is you, with all the (fast) help you give to the community (not that others deserve to wait that long…)

But…Hey…if I say that NI isn’t working good and isn’t behaving correctly, I’m the negative guy with a bad attitude towards NI…

I pretty much have everything I really need so the only thing I took advantage of were discounts on Piano Colors and Vocal Colors. I'm at the stage where I'd rather have fewer libraries I know I'll use than tons of libraries I seldom think about.

The Maschine Factory Library upgrade may be my next summer of sound purchase. It's a lot.

Hi All!

I'm wondering if I buy a Komplete Kontrol MIDI controller before July 6, but I don't receive it by then, will I still be eligible for the Summer of Savings deals? I mean does it go by date of purchase or by July 6?
