Traktor 3.8 and previous stuttering sound intermittently problem.
Hi guys,
As the title says, I'm getting an intermittently random stuttering in the music as I'm playing every so often that sometimes occurs once or twice in a couple of hours and sometimes not at all but as you know, this cannot happen. It's as if for a few milliseconds the music stalls then carries on again.
This seems to have only started from version 3.5.2 onwards as over the years I've never had any issues with older versions.
I am running a 14" M1 Pro chip Macbook Pro along with the S4 MK3.
Could it possibly still be problems with using multi core enabled?
I use clean my Mac to make sure the machine is OCD tidy on the hard drive and it's not used for anything else other than Traktor or other music apps.

On looking at my post again I feel that my description is not as accurate as I would have liked.
It's not so much a stutter as a split second stall of the output sound before continuing as normal.
Is there no one with an M1 MacBook noticed this at all?
I knew this community was pretty quiet these days but was hoping for at least some feedback!

This is exactly what’s happening with mine🤔

Hi Mark,
Sorry to hear you are having this issue too, are you also using an M1 MacBook Pro and trying to use multi processor or single processor in settings?

I’m really not sure but I use MacBook Pro Intel 5 with Traktor Pro 3 S4 MK3 controller, only happens when I plug in my controller, works fine just on laptop 🤔

Ah right ok so it's not an Apple silicon issue then if you are Intel based. I also use the S4 MK3 so that's a possibility 👍️

Sorry I’m not very technical minded☹️

No worries mate, that's the point of this community to help each other out.

Definitely seems like a bug with connection to controller

Hey, has this been resolved?
I'm planning to buy MK3 tomorrow, have M1 Pro, and have had Audio dropout issues before where i had to restart the whole controller.
So kinda worried any sound issues might happen during a live set. At this point it's between the ease of use and features of Traktor, vs Rekordbox/Serato for me. And I don't wanna go with the latter, even though it's the standard. Been Traktor user for 15 yrs.

M1 Pro Macbook here. I’ve found up until now that if I leave the multi core processor option unticked in options I don’t get any problems but if that is selected then randomly I get the stall in sound intermittently every so often. The slight stall seems to happen when the browser does the weird flicker.
Hope this helps

This is now an issue for me playing out.
It keeps stuttering and dropping out. I've unchecked multi-core processing.
Any solution would be greatly appreciated.
Using MacBook Pro M1 (Ventura), with an S8. Traktor Pro 3 (3.8.0.46)

Have you tried the 3.9 rc?

Quite fearful of trying, 10 hours before my next gig... I would advise that Traktor 3.8.0.46 is not stable on MacBook M1, and should be avoided.

Logged out of everything apart from Traktor and the stuttering has stopped.

Ah, I just posed a big old thing about this same thing. Glad it's not only me getting it.
What is the mutli-core option that people are talking about? Is this a rosetta issue? Should we be using single core for rosetta?
If that is the case, how have we not got a native version of this programme yet? Just feels a little 'forgotten' if you know what I mean?
