Can I upgrade to Komplete Ultimate 13 from Komplete Select 14??
Hey, Ive just got my hands on Komplete 13 Ultimate (an upgrade for owners of Komplete Select).
Ive got a new S49 also which comes with Komplete 14 Select.
Will I still be able to use this upgarde?? Or will I have to ask Native Instruments to downgrade my Select 14 to Select 13 before I can use my Ultimate 13 software?
Im asking this here as Ive been waiting nearly a week for a response from NI support :(

You would need e.g. Komplete 13 Select as the 'base product'.
Maybe support can indeed do something about it.

Hi thanks for your message. I originally requested this on my old account, I set up this new account today. I have Ultime 13 Upgrade from select but it wont authorize due to having a newer version on Select (14) that came wiht my new keyboard

@Jeremy_NI It seems to me, there is perpetual problem with upgrades based on KSelect. Wouldn't it be good to relax it in the way, that any version of Select qualifies as base Product?
Imagine not so uncommon case, that someone has old HW that came with KS bundled. Bought upgrade to Komplete. And now sells HW and Upgrade to Komplete.
New owner gets current version of KSel, which is great. But at the same time the Upgrade to Komplete does not work anymore for him, as the version of KSel is too high....

Hi, I was thinking of purchasing an affordable copy of Komplete 13 Ultimate upgrade from Select that I've seen for sale, but I'm finding it hard to find a copy of Select 13 to upgrade it with. Can you tell me if the OP's request to allow a copy of Select 14 to work, or to downgrade the product to Select 13, so it can utilize the upgrade, was approved?

Since I had been told by someone that N.I. had changed their policy recently so that indeed Select were an exception when came to version number for being base product for upgrades then I tried recently to get this settled once and for all and asked Jeremy for a statement on the subject but Jeremy still refers people to ask N.I. Purchase and Account Support !
