I tried following these steps from NI support, and reinstalled the app in Native Access several times but to no avail.. Anyone have any tips?
These were the steps i followed.. I have a Mac by the way..
https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004036925-MASCHINE-Crashes
YES! It appears to have worked! Something was wrong with the previous templete.
The new one started up without a hitch.
Thanks for the help all. 👍🏻
Did you already follow ALL the steps in the link?
Does Maschine software open as a plugin inside a DAW?
What is stated as status for Maschine in Native Access? Installed, repair, locate,…?
(deleted because I see you're on Mac now)
Yes i followed all the steps.
Unsure, since i only use Maschine standalone
in Native Access it says installed
One thing I did notice, when I followed the third step and deleted the maschine plist. Maschine worked again… then the next day the same issue started again. It almost seems like when i delete the plist it works, but I have to keep deleting it on a daily basis?
Probably the plist gets built again when you use Maschine. If it is so, the workaround suggested by NI itself can’t be even called a workaround…
Yeah, I noticed every time I remove the plist i have to reset the preferences
Now after testing it
I can confirm maschine only opens once i delete the plist…
reinstalling maschine via native access has no effect.
Does anyone at NI support have a solution for this?
@AxMusic What audio device are you using? What is your operating system and Maschine version?
Do you use registry cleaners, app cleaners & such? Notes on Using Registry or Property List Cleaning Utilities
Does Maschine have Full DIsk Access? How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS
I am using Komplete Audio 6 mk 2
I am on Mac OS Monterey V. 12.6.5 & Maschine v. 2.17.2
Registery cleaners? Like Clean my Mac?…. If so then No, I used to use it but now anymore..
Yes Maschine has full disk access
What preferences do you set up every time you delete the plist?
As of two days ago when I leave the the preferences as is and edit nothing, Maschine starts up. When I try to have it load by default my custom templet it starts crashing again
Maybe your template is corrupted in some way? Or it recalls something from the old deleted plist?
Can you try to build a new one and see if this still happens?
@AxMusic Well, @LostInFoundation is on to something here. It's good that you finally mention that template. If crashes don't happen without this template, it's probably coming from it...
Let’s hope the devil is the template…it would be an easy fix (a little work to rebuild it, but an healthy app…a good price to pay)
