Hello dear community, I need an audio interface for my new iPad with USB C. It is intended to be connected to a blender using the Traktor iPad app. I would like to put two stereo channels on my mixer. Which audio interface do I need? Greetings Uli
Thank you for you answer. I need a USB-B to USB-C Cable - right ? And will the iPad charged ?
No, Z1 will not charge iPad. On contrary iPad will charge Z1.
Ok, how do I then implement the power supply for the two devices with a power pack?
Hi there, I'm really confused because I've been looking into this exact setup myself, which my friend told me as recently as yesterday that he's been using (iPad Air + Z1 + MiniRigs) for nearly a decade, and yet on the pages for both the Z1 and Traktor DJ 2, it clearly says
"https://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/traktor/dj-software/traktor-dj-2/
*TRAKTOR KONTROL Z1 is only compatible with the desktop version of TRAKTOR DJ 2.
What am I missing here?
Hello, got the Kontrol Z1 today and am disappointed. Mixer lights up (LED) briefly, then nothing can be seen or heard, everything is dark, no sound. Nothing is happening on either the Mac or the iPad Pro.
Did you chose the Z1 as the audio interface in the preferences?
š¶ This is quite strange. I used it in the past. (If I remember correctly, it did even came with a cable with lightning connector)
Let me try to hook it up nowā¦
Traktor works just fine on Win tablet. I use it so.
I guess that NI does not want to support 3 OSes and waits till Apple unifies MacOC and iPadOS. Apple should stop artificial separation of those two...
You can buy a USB Anything-to-C cable for next to nothing on Amazon.
Don't really need to consider what port is on the interface side.
Is it also compatible with the iPad and the Traktor software? In any case, it's too expensive for me, thanks for the tip anyway...
There is (or was). The suggested Audio4c is one and the (now discontinued) Novation AudioHub was another one for example
were you aware that there is a app to control iconfig via the ipad? iconfig is the predacessor of Auracle..
the app in the ios store is called reconfig also there is reconfigaudio⦠which works with iconfig⦠at least it does with my M1macminiā¦
i havent personally tested with the PCā¦. but as far as i understand things⦠you can install iconfig without removing Auracle⦠and so long as only 1 of the applications is opened⦠it shouldnt conflict(i've never had any issues)
basically the Reconfig App provides addition audio routing that you cannot do with Auracle + the usual midi stuff you get with Auracle
i should also mention i have the Audio4c which works well with the reconfig app!
when weighing up costs⦠you have to look at long term benefits alongside added benefitsā¦
if you are on this grind long term⦠its a investment worthy of consideration!
aside from the dual connection of audio devices⦠IOS + Android or PC + MAC or any dual combination, the added benefit with the Audio4c, is the USB-hub port⦠that you can connect up to 8 "class compliant" midi devices⦠via a external usb powered Hub, which allows all connected midi-devices to be shared with whichever devices are connectedā¦. Android/IOS/PC/Mac either simultaneously or independantly⦠depending on how you wish to configure you midi devices!
another great portable alternative is the Zoom u-24⦠which is considerably cheap and versatile, which is why i purchased it
Sorry , I neither have an iPad Pro nor a Traktor device , so I have very little knowledge on any of this , but I did dig up this for you that you can check if is of help :
