Mystery Battery drum kits won't load

Hi,

Sorry, I'm a fairly new user and am probably being dense, but could you help?

I have there Komplete Select and also Start packages installed on my M1 Mac. When I look in Komplete Kontrol, the first entry in the instrument pane is 'Battery".

I can play all the previews, but when I try to load, I get a grey message that says: Loading issue: Plug-in/preset could not be loaded, as it may not yet support Apple Silicon or VST2 to VST 3 migration.

I'm reasonably sure that Battery 4 isn't included in Select or Start, so I'm at a loss as to why Battery is showing up in my instruments and also whether there's anything I can do to actually use the menu of kits I'm presented with.

No sign of Battery in Native Access, so I'm assuming the kits must be part of another collection. Any idea if I can sort this out and if so, how?

@Pete from Bristol As an owner of Komplete Select you don't own Battery, you would need to install the demo: https://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/drums/battery-4/downloads/

Battery is included in Komplete start

It is not exactly Battery 4, but a special version called Battery Start

But both Komplete Select and Komplete Start comes with expansions bundled inside, and expansions have Battery kits in them. This could be the reason why you see Battery.

Even, if this is the reason, it seems strange to me

At least that makes me feel a bit better I’m not being totally thick! 😂 I really love the NI sounds but the software strikes me as being a bit, erm, eccentric. I keep losing the transport controls on my A61 too and no one seems to know why. I’ve followed every troubleshooting guide I can find!

Where do you lose transport controls? Inside a DAW? Are you using A61 in midi mode?

Check 2 things:

First if you enabled full disk access to both KK and the DAW

Second what is selected in the midi (Komplete keyboards often have multiple choices, one of them called DAW)

Thanks for replying! Everything has full disk access. I’ve also followed the published Logic fix, which involves deleting various p.List files in Library and Applications Support.

The only fix I’ve found is to delete the keyboard in Mac midi studio, restart, fire up Logic and plug in. The DAW seems to see the keyboard properly then.

If I come back later, the transport controls invariably fail when I open Logic. The browser and plug in buttons work fine! It’s a bit baffling.

Re your second question, I’ve tried toggling the modes with the hardware buttons (shift + plug in). Is there somewhere in the software I can achieve the same thing? Nothing in Logic controller settings seemed obvious.
