I see that accessibility was added in the latest 2.17 update, but there's no indication on how to turn it on. I was hoping to test it out for a friend who is vision impaired, how do we turn on the new accessibility features?
Check out this video. The accessibility features are really fabulous!
After you update, you should have a new application installed called 'NI Accessibility Helper', launch it .
It links itself to the Maschine app and starts talking right away.
hmm, I don't see that app, even after reinstalling the update. I do see that "NIHardwareAccessibilityHelper" is running in my task manager, but I'm pretty sure that's always been there.
I am on Windows, btw, not sure if that makes a difference.
@Facedogg Oh, sorry my bad, the 'NI Accessibility Helper' app has to be installed separately according to the update thread here:
https://community.native-instruments.com/discussion/40/official-update-status-maschine-2-current-version-2-17
I have no ideia where people are supposed to download it, I don't see it in Native Access, theres no videos, article or anything at all that I could find...
This whole 2.17 launch is really strange to be honest, as this Accessibility thing seems like a it took a long time to develop yet it's not being promoted at all. 🤷♂️
I'll ask the admins whats going on monday, maybe they know.
OK. So, it seems like the helper tool is coming soon to Native Access, when exactly I don't really know.
Don't quote me on this but I believe it's going to be released in around 3 weeks.
Locks something for rookies.
Not for the pro's
Very annoying when working on a project.
Or you can sample the robot voice to mix in you project. 😂
😶
It’s not for rookies or pros…
It’s for people with visual impairments or other difficulties
You should have been quoted, cause it came out now, EXACTLY 3 weeks after your post. Nostradamus…
