Audio out of PC instead of keyboard with kontakt 7
So I've managed to connect my keyboard to my pc but the audio is coming out of my keyboard, is there any way to keep the input of my keyboard but audio out of my pc?

Those are your only two options for devices but you also have the option of setting output to OFF. I think that's your problem. There's no reason to be sending MIDI out to anything that I can see. You have MIDI coming in and going through Kontakt. From that point it's all audio output and is handled by the Audio configuration, not MIDI.

The easy fix is to just turn down the volume on the keyboard which doesn't affect MIDI.

I must have it set up wrong then, because when I use the VST it definitely somewhat changes the sound on my keyboard, and when I turn down my pc volume the effect stops but if I were to turn down my keyboard there is no sound entirely.

More details are needed.
- So, you are obviously using an audio device connected with midi cables in and out, correct?
- You've opened Kontakt and can play instruments that are loaded?
- You're using Kontakt as stand-alone, or using it as a plugin in a DAW?

Yeah, so I'm using a RockJam RJ88DP and connecting it to my laptop with a midi cable. I can play instruments on kontakt because it's registering my key presses and changing the audio on my keyboard and I'm using kontakt as stand-alone

Well, as @DunedinDragon said, turn down the volume on the keyboard. And if you don't hear Kontakt then you need enter Kontakt 'Settings' and make sure your audio device is correct in the 'Audio' tab.
If you're not sending midi back to the keyboard there is no way it is changing the sound.

Chances are good that you don't have a port connected for MIDI in the Options under the MIDI Input options. For example, I have a Casio Privia going through my audio interface via USB to my computer. In the Audio options it has the driver identified, but that's the AUDIO driver. I normally have my Casio USB-MIDI identified under MIDI Inputs in the options and that's has Port A identified as it's status. My USB connection sends both audio and MIDI but on two separate USB channels. If I turn down the volume of the keyboard the MIDI still plays through to Kontakt, but no piano. If the volume is up both the keyboard audio is sent as well as the MIDI.
If your Port status under MIDI Inputs is set to off, Kontakt won't look to process MIDI from that keyboard and I'll only get the audio from the keyboard. I don't know anything about that audio interface you're using but there's a good chance it's operating in a similar manner to mine.

Yeah I have a similar thing to that, I have my keyboard connected to my pc and under the midi input options I have 'piano-xts' and have it assigned to port A and I've done all the other settings with the input and output. I also hear differences when I change things in the vts but I don't get any sounds if I turn down the keyboard.

The sound of Kontakt should come through your computer soundcard (speakers or headphones), or your external soundcard (audio interface).
Or are you sending the sound back to the keyboard via an auxiliary input ?

I thought it was supposed to come through my pc but I only get a change to my audio when I have the input, output and device set to my keyboard otherwise it registers my presses but doesn't do anything. I'm not sending any sound back I just have the power, midi and pedal connected

What do you have set in your Options/MIDI Outputs?

I have 'piano-xts' (my keyboard) as the midi input and output, the only 2 options for output I have is Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth and when I plug it in, 'piano-xts'

It should show your computer soundcard such as Sigma or Realtek. Or maybe Generic Low Latency ASIO. Whatever driver that is sending sound out to your computer speakers.
IF you're going to use the keybaord as your listening method, you can't send midi back to it that will trigger sounds.
That's all I've got. Good luck! ๐

That's worked, I made realtek the device and I had to take the keyboard off the midi output and now it's working, thanks for all the help ๐
