How do I map my own sound samples to MIDI controller keys?
I'm very new to music producing environment with all of its accessories, plugins, and apps etc. If this is not the appropriate category to post this question, please let me know or feel free to move it.
I was wondering if I can use Kontakt or any apps from NI to map my own sound samples to MIDI controller keys. I want to record some percussions and other instruments and assign them to specific keys on the Komplete Kontrol MK2 S88 MIDI controller. Let me know if this is possible. If not, what other apps that may allow me to do this?
Thank you so much!

Naming your samples is an easy way to have them mapped automatically.
If you drag files from a system folder, they will be mapped to all the right keys on the keyboard.
Refer to section 18.2 Mapping Samples Automatically, in the Kontakt manual.

Do you have the Full version of Kontakt? If so (because you cannot create your own instrument using the Player) then watch as many YouTube videos on the subject… just search “Create Kontakt instrument” as there are many that will show the ins and outs!!!
