MK2 and Maschine 2 software
I have a MK3 Mikro and really enjoy it, except that it doesn't have MIDI connections. I've tried a few workarounds to chain it to other hardware, but I haven't been able to get it to work. If I pick up a used MK2 will I be able to use my Maschine 2 software with it?

Short answer is yes… longer one is you could probably pick up a USB to DIN Midi interface for a lot less Money and the use that to connect your external midi devices. Now if you already have one, post your specific issues and I am sure we can help… also post your OS as that is good information to know!

Do you own an audio interface with a DIN MIDI Out? Does your other hardware have USB MIDI?

you need to be aware of this: especially if you plan on chaining anything thru the Mk2 midi ports..
and although i cannot say i have tested things personally... you would still need to consider the above post
that said... the Mk2 has alot to like about it... over the mikro's

I got this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08HMWJWDW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 but haven't gotten it to work and run windows 10. The hardware I'm trying to chain to is a DR-202 and Volca Sample 1. I was however able to chain the volca and DR 202 to each other. I tried the MIDI In and outs and switched the midi modes in the DR 202 (INT, MIDI, Remote and Int) but wasnt able to change the BPM of the DR with the Mikro. Mabey I need to change a setting in Maschine 2?

If you want to control MIDI devices from the Maschine software you would need to select this MIDI interface you just bought as the MIDI out.
