Happy to report that after both using club standard Pioneer equipment as well a proprietary NI controller during live gigs over the past few weeks, it seems that NI has very effectively patched up the critical error TR-572 (blurry waveform bug) with its latest update, Traktor Pro 4.5. My gigs were 3-5 hour sets, in front of 300-500 people per set, so plenty of risk as well as time for an error to happen. However, after NI sent the email out asking people to upgrade, as well as NI team's follow up posts in community forums and on Reddit, it gave me some confidence that they were serious about the bug and this fix was tested thoroughly in house. Being honest, I did have a Rekordbox USB in the CDJs ready to go just in case. Thankfully, the only issue I encountered with Traktor Pro 4.5 was when playing on the CDJ-3000's; at one point, the BPM started fluctuated even when adjusting the pitch fader. After switching out the track, the issue did not happen again.
Hardware Used (firmware versions included):
- 2021 MacBook Pro M1 Max 14inch (32GB Ram, 1 TB HDD)- no external HDD plugged in
- 3x DJ Techtools Chroma Cables USB C to B
- 2x CDJ 3000 (V 3.22- latest version), 2x CDJ 2000NXS2 (V1.87-latest version) in HID mode plugged in via 2x USB C ports
- DJM DJM 900 NXS2 (V 2.07- latest version) (MacBook plugged into DJM via USB C and using DJM sound card)
- NI Traktor Kontrol S2 MK3 (V 1.4.0- latest version) with Yamaha MG-06X (to balance RCA signal/ convert to XLR)
Software Used:
- Mac OS Sonoma 14.8.5
- Traktor Pro 4.5.0 7
Please also note that I still had same settings as my own solution post from 03/21/26:
1. Turned off Multi-Core Processing in Traktor Pro (to optimize GPU usage)
2. Turned off parallel waveforms view to essential view in Traktor Pro (to optimize GPU usage)
3. Set sample rate to 48000 HZ in Traktor Pro (optimal rate for Pioneer DJM)
4. Set buffer size set to 512 MB in Traktor Pro (to optimize CPU/ core audio usage)
5. Turned off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth in Mac OS (to optimize CPU usage)
6. Turned off Pro Motion and made display 60HZ in Mac OS (to lower GPU usage)
7. Set USB "suspend setting" to Disabled in Mac OS
8. Placed USB Allow accessories to connect to Always in Mac OS
9. Analyze Track Collection for Consistency
10. Restarted MacBook before every set to clear any "Ghost processes."
