How to delete points automation to make straight lines ?

Hello everyone,

I've been a Maschine user since 2013 but somehow I'm struggling with the new automation system from 3.4.

I've made an automation with multiple points and to make it smoother, I'd like to transform it into a straight line. Just like it is shown in the 3.4 introduction video :

I should be able to achieve this by double clicking on a point, like it's said here :

Unfortunately, whe I double click a point it only removes one point, not several points at once.

Marquee tool is a software name for click, hold, and drag to create a selection rectangle.

CMD/CTRL+X is usually "Cut", Maschine Modulation doesn't have any copy/cut/paste, so it won't do anything, not even CMD/CTRL+A to select all works.

MIDI editing tools (pointers for Draw, Split, Mute and Join) do nothing in modulation.

Double click either adds a point or deletes a single point.

Thanks a lot.

The delete key indeed suppressed the automation and made a flat line.

However, what I see in NI's video, is that when he removes the points, there's still an automation going (in his case the parameter goes up). In my case, as I said, the line just goes just flat and there's no automation anymore. I then have to create it mysel clicking again and creating a point.

I'm now wondering now how is he doing it clicking only once. See here at 3:38 :

Also, any idea why double clicking on a modulation doesn't remove it, like said in the manual ?

I think he’s actually using a keyboard shortcut , command + X

, because he highlighted those points but didn’t click on them , he does mention the marquee tool ( right click , select eraser ) that might work too

I think Double clicking only works on single points

Indeed, double clicking works on single points.

-Unfortunately nothing happens when I used ctrl + X on highlighted points, .

sorry they got rid of the eraser, and cmd + x only works in the piano roll, so delete key is the only method

just been tinkering , and what seems to happen, is if you manually pencil in some points , then highlight and delete , you get a horizontal line , if you then add a point in the middle of that line it will slope between the 3 points , you can then remove that middle point and it will slope between point 1+3

But if I record modulation from my jam , and then highlight and delete I get slopes and no horizontal line

How were you recording the modulation ? In the video he’s using the controller to record that modulation part

this is fixed now , just need to set the grid to off , before deleting
