MacOS Tahoe 26.1 - Project SAM plugin installation failed

Hello,

I have issue with ' Installation Failed' for the following Project SAM plugin

Swing!
Swing More!
The Free Orchestra

It works for The Free Orchestra 2

I use default installation path on disk and I have disk space for it.

I give access to Native Access and NTKDaemon as adviced here

Tahoe is not supported by NI yet and there are issues with old NI installers and installers included with some third party libraries. Downgrade to Sequoia, if you can.

It usually takes 4-6 months for NI to achieve compatibility with new MacOS version.

I'm on Tahoe and I've had no problem installing Swing! and using Swing More! However, there are multiple problems with NI Access, Kontakt and Tahoe. I've spent too much time trying to sort them out and the supposed workarounds (uninstalling, reinstalling, reinstalling from different downloads) haven't worked.

I'm sure they're on top of it and working as hard as they can to get the fix out there.

So there is something weird on the installation process that failed.

I'll try to figure out, but then, we may expected something for NI in the coming month … we will see

I'm not too happy to read this, but at least it explains why I have wasted my time today trying to install Project Sam's "Swing More!" several times over - having to wait an hour between attempts for those 47GB to download yet again, because the files are discarded when installation fails 😳.

In /Users/shared/Logs/NTK/daemon.log the problem shows up as:

[2025-12-02 20:00:12.208] [daemon] [error] "0x16c437000":LocationUtils.cpp:54 Path does not exist: /Volumes/Applications/Native Instruments/Kontakt

Of course that won't work. Volumes/Applications/ does not exist at all. It's too bad this is not a user-changable setting, but I'll keep trying to find a fix because I don't feel like waiting 4-6 months for someone to fix that Kontakt installation path 😉

If I find a workaround I'll post it, of course.

I notified Project SAM, they should be aware that customers using Mac OS Tahoe can't use the above-listed libraries when they purchase them, at least for now, and if I have to follow what's been said above, possibly for several months.
