Adding a second beat grid messes up the first section of the track

Ever since upgrading to Traktor 4, I cannot set a second beat grid in a track without messing up the first section of the track.

For example, if I'm beat gridding a track at 122.0bpm, adding a second beat grid and moving it around, would automatically change the bpm of the first section of my track. That wasn't the case in TP3. Anyone else having this issue?

Beat gridding works differently in Traktor Pro 4 than in Traktor Pro 3. Try defining the different tempo sections, if the song structure allows it. So, grid the first section with the desired 122 BPM and then close this with a second grid. After that you can grid the second tempo section with a different Tempo, and so on.

Here, as an example:

The first zone is 100 BPM. After that, the tempo increases with each bar and gridmarker, until it reaches 127 BPM, which then remains constant from the last grid until the end.

Thanks - but I'm more talking about songs with the same BPM, that have a bit of slowdown phase, and then pick up again at the same BPM. Adding a second beat grid and then calibrating/moving it to the right position causes the bpm in the first section of the track to fluctuate, which is definitely a fault.

What proves the above is tracks that I had successfully beat gridded on Traktor 3, now have varying bpms on Traktor 4. See below - it's a track at a steady 126bpm, however as soon as I introduce a second beat grid (cue 4) the first part of the song goes off (i.e. goes from 126.000 to 125.919). On Traktor 3 this wasn't an issue.

Weirdly for such songs, in my playlist section, under BPM I get this strange feature (see screenshot 3)

What @Owner was referring to is this:

Every stable BPM zone needs a beginning and an ending gridmarker to be stable, like you need to have two fixing points to hang a tightrope.

GM1——[122bpmZone]——GM2—[110]—GM3—[100]—GM4—[90]—GM5—[2nd122bpmZone]—(GM6 is optional if this is the last zone)

Edit: NOTE—> In your picture i see white flags (pointing to the right) with numbers. These are NOT gridmarkers in TP4. They are hotcues of the type beatmarker and have no influence on the bpm. Only the solid white (and pretty small) triangles are gridmarkers.

Thanks, but I'm still getting the same with the solid white small triangles. The track has indeed been broken down in 2 zones, it's just that whenever I make any changes to the 2nd zone, the 1st zone gets messed up. The below is an example of a 121.000 bpm (constant) track, yet adjusting the positioning in the 2nd zone, moves the bpm of the first zone to 121.033.

Okay. How many gridmarkers do you have and where are they. You can jump from one to the next /previous using the '<' and '>' buttons of the extended menu on your picture. Please go to each one and make a screenshot so i can see the position and the shown bpm.

The first two gridmarkers should exactly fence-in the stable 121bpm zone.

Try to work with Snap engaged for stable temp zones (and off for unstable tempo zones). I made a short video with your track. It's easy to grid it correctly, if we don't need the tempo slowdown in the middle. If you want to have this zone also correctly gridded I will also show you how to do that.

Don't Worry about the first cue point. You can disable this option in the preferences and also reset the downbeat:
