I use Machine+ in standalone mode only, so don't have the Machine 3 software. My question is: Will the forthcoming Machine 3 update for M+ be a free or paid update? If paid update, how much?
Thanks! just been wondering about what happens when it finally gets released for M+ later this year (probably).
Dual booting most likely requires an unlocked bootloader, and I'm pretty sure that’s never going to happen because of safety and legal reasons.
Well, the other option is to buy another M+ for using 3.0 with - not exactly ideal either now is it?
Same, I welcome the extra features that 3.0 will bring but I CAN NOT go back to the instability that the M+ had at launch. I'll be lurking in the background watching everyone who updated until I'm satisfied that it's stable. 😅😅😅
Ah but we're not talking about before Stevie got signed, or when Elton John was a child.
The original post that you responded to with "imagine if all the musicians…" said:
"If the M+ is such a vital part of your live performance setup, you should have at least one backup unit"
Are you saying that a backup of some kind should not be considered in that situation?
Even if you're not a live performer. I see posts here from people saying they can't meet a deadline for a important studio project because [blame NI for something] - but backups are important there too.
As you want
Yeah, exactly 👍 💪❤️❤️❤️❤️ Great work!
BTW, I think I’m a Jedi or something – I can totally feel a disturbance in the Force. 😂😂😂
Hearing about the 3.2 desktop release on Youtube brought me here.
I've had a really long break from music making, just occasionally dabbling with synths and pulling out various grooveboxes once in a while, mainly listening to old projects rather than constructing music and maybe I need 3 for M+ to kick start me into this again with some new features. Not that i've ever felt it lacking, but new features always add to the experience.
It's good news anyway seeing development of Maschine happening and reading about the M+ release coming sometime soon and that the development team are actively engaging with users. Makes the site seem a bit more positive too if this thread is anything to go off.
M+ is super stable now and most features in M3 are for desktop only anyway, so you’re the only thing ”holding back” tbh. Just do your thing and M3 for M+ will come.
so use it live in controller mode with your computer?
You can still do that!
I'm looking forward to the Komplete Chastity Cage, myself. Can't wait for an NI rep to barge into my bedroom studio and show me what my synthesizers like.
lol, I’m not being rude, I’m just saying that your workflow is streamlined if you keep your live stuff to M2 on desktop and m+, for now, since the M3 update only can be used in desktop ANYWAY, even if you had M3 on the M+, whatever functions have been added are not available on M+, except maybe for the glorified stem separation, in the future.
So, having this issue is only created by yourself, hence hindering you in achieving your own goals. You are the only one stopping yourself from streamlined workflow and live performance. No one or nothing else. Sorry for trying to make you see this. You’re your own problem and obstacle.
lol, you’re taking things way out of proportion, anyone can ask anything and ping people and wish for stuff, I’m just clarifying that all he wishes to do is can still be done without any hassle, no need for M3 to fulfill his dreams, and bounce in place or bounce to track is easy in M2 also, which all of us know, so… just saying that if streamlined workflow is important and he wants to perform live there is nothing actually stopping anyone from doing that, the M+ has never been this reliable!
